  • incredible song great video, not only is it epic but it bleeds motivation

  • Whos the old chick at 0:19?

  • @Immortalshadowarrior granny goodness

  • This is from Cartoon Network? My region of Cartoon Network is so shitty....

  • What's the big man's mo? Why dose he do what he dose? Is he just an ego-maniac or he have a reason for these attacks?

  • @KasirRham He's the God of Evil. His motive is the same as Superman's for being good. Evil for the sake of evil.

  • Does Darkseid remind anyone else of Masked Kane?

  • @Rayman77792 Yeah, especially because, like Kane, Darkseid was originally meant to be a near-unstoppable force, but over time, like Kane, they turned him into a wimp and a jobber.

  • @BronchitisMan He killed brainiac with 1 hit jobber my ass.

  • @TinyTitian Do you want me to cite his losses to Superman?

If I had a penny every time Supes whipped Darkseid I'd have Donald Trump as my butler.

  • @BronchitisMan There actually pretty=in beating each others ass.

  • @Rayman77792 Darkseid is older than Kane.

  • Darkseid is the shit

  • You just know this tops Darkseid iTunes most played list, 666 times I believe.... :P

  • I didn't like how the cartoons made darkseid so weak. He's a god, weilder of the omega force. the only surviving son of Yuga Khan. He defeated the silver surfer, and galactus left Apokolypse disapointed.

  • Well done, best song / video combination I've seen in a while. Coupled with the fact that most clips were not repeating themselves.

  • The heroes and villians teaming up to stop Darkseid shows how powerful he is. It doesn't matter if your a good guy or bad guy, when Darkseid shows up its bad news for everyone who isn't Darkseid.

  • The darkest saying ever said. "You see super you are just a man. I am a god," Darkseid

  • @XblacklightZ its actually "super or otherwise you are merely a man, and I...AM A GOD."

  • @goo5976 yeah. Still that is some ego to say you are a god.

  • @XblacklightZ somewat but he is in the comic

  • @goo5976 Yeah I know he's one of the New gods but really they are no gods. And darkseid; well, him and the joker are the personification of the devil himself. And the devil doesn't like it when you escape his grasp.

  • @XblacklightZ ..well to be a god in their world, you dont necessarily have to be a good guy. you can be the god of torture. darkseid was a god at birth but then decided to go astray from the right and noble path he was meant to take. it isnt really fair to say they are the personification of the devil himself because they are more of derivitives of the devil's personality: DARKSEID: egotistical, strong, mighty, fearless, and careless JOKER: deceptive, smart, and persuasive. I SEE WHAT U MEAN THO

  • @goo5976 I say the devil has 2 sides. 1 side makes you want to join him, the other wants to kill you. Again Darksied had a kind of nazi complex (I'll explain). Why because it's easy to kill someone when you think of them no more than a fly or mindless animal.

  • Sorry for that typo, (misery of others)

  • Darkseid truly is EPIC!! He is the gravest threat of the DC universe since he represents everything vile and corrupt in the DC universe!! He is truly a god that feeds on the miser of others

  • Darkseid= Shnitzel on steroids.

  • awesome!

  • I'm adding this to my Epic playlist.

  • "But let the universe howl in despair, for I have returned." Wow. Just... Wow. Darkseid IS.

  • And yet in the crossover comics when Galactus entered the DC Universe, Darkseid choose to run and hide away from the Devourer of Worlds.

  • That song is truely epic.

By the way, what happened with DarkSeid and Luthor at the end?

  • @DarkArtistKaiser Nobody knows, possibly not even the people who wrote that.

  • Epic... As Darkseid truly is...

  • Darkseid is my faverite villain ever. he crumbled superman to his knee's. if i could be any comic book character i'd be darkseid standing at 8'9" tall weighing in at 1815, need i say more.

  • What powers/weakness does Darksied has ?

  • In "Alive", I suspect Tala brought back Darkseid instead of Brainiac as a dying act of revenge against Lex. I love that "Oh shit!" look on Lex's face.

  • Of every villain of every continuity, Darkseid is my favorite. He doesn´t need an origen, nor a back story, nor a real reason, he simply IS Darkseid.

  • Is anyone out there as upset as I am about Smallville's Darkseid? They took the New God of Evil, and made him a pun on his god name. I'm sorry but that is just too much. I have a simple phrase for the person who made that decision:

    Respect the source material!

If you want to do something original, make the character himself original. Don't take a classic character and mutilate them. The New Gods were among Jack Kirby's finest creations. I wonder if Mr. Kirby is spinning in his grave.

  • @cgcfilms Yeah I don't like how they used that smoke entity to represent him but at the same time it was Glorious Godfrey which is respecting the source material. Apparently he'll actually have a full blown physical appereance in the final episodes.

  • I have to admit, this song is pretty good.

  • My personal favorite DC villain (and maybe out every villain I've ever seen) is the Joker, he's a villain that has never disappointed me in any way. But I have to admit, Darkseid is awesome, his power is godly, and he commands such a vast army. I guess I should just say that my two favorite villains from DC are Joker and Darkseid.

  • @mathislimitless My gosh, I forgot to say this, I am incredibly dumb at times. Thank you for making this video, I found it rather enjoyable.

  • wow someone who used real metal instead of some nu-metal alternative bullshit nice

  • Lex KNEW his goose was cooked the moment Darkseid appeared.

  • If they want to make another superman's movie where darkside is the villain, they must have good budget; ohterwise it would be a piece of crap.

  • All hail before Darkseid

  • Michael Clarke Duncan would make a good Darkseid if ever he was gonna be in a live action movie

  • What song is that playing in the background?

  • "Alpha and Omega" by Stratovarius

  • Couldn't agree more on Darkseid as the true arch-nemesis of Superman, Why does every re-boot of Superman use a comic version of Luthor as it's first villain is beyond me. Kevin Spaceys' performance is so informed by Gene Hackman that it reduces the character to needless. In this age of big budgets just go with the Dark God and have true battle for the ages between man and god.

  • @LordNecron69 well Superman hasnt got an interesting gallery of Rogues, as batman, The Flash, Spiderman, or other heroes, The serious scheming Luthor , corporate with suit and tie, is a Copy of the Kingpin, and Darseid is not an Enemy of Superman but of the New Gods, and Forever people.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer Yeah Darkseid is a universal villain tackled in truth by the New Gods and the JL, but he does make for a great villain for Supes in an animated or live action setting.

But I disagree about Flash and Bats having better rogues. Batman has a lot of weak villains in his rogue (and I'm not talking about their physical threat level, but their themes).

Superman has a huge rogues, Braniac, Henshaw, Mongul, Metallo, Zod, Jax Ur, Parasite, Blaze, Banshee, Satanus, Doomsday etc

  • @allankles Well is not the quantity of numbers but the quality of villians, let see, Doomsday has solely the merit of killing Superman, Aside from that he is booring, Mongul is also a villian shared with another hero Starman, and has a huge resemblance with Darkseid, Heshaw.... i colud never put away the fact that he was created as a spoof of the Fantastic Four. The Parasite is dull just a copy of Amazo and the Super Adaptoid. The other six you mention have some merit for me.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer Now on to Batman Villians, Ra s Al Ghul, The Joker, Deashot, Hugo Strange, Bane, The Ventriloquist ( either one), The Mad hatter, Poison Ivy, Harlequinn, Mr.. Whisper, , Clayface( any of the four) and Mr Szasz, that doubles Superman List, and we are talking of better constructed, creative , and even deadlier characters, what Superman Villian could be on a story like the Killing Joke , none, and dont tel me the Prankster or Mxyzpltk are amazing.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer Which Supes villain could be in something as good as killing Joke? Lex Luthor. There's other Supes villains I didn't mention, like the rogue Elites, Eradicator, Arion, Intergang, Ultraman. I agree about Doomsday and Parasite. As far as Mongul goes, in the comics he isn't like Darkseid. And Mongul was primarily a Supes villain, that has only changed recently.

  • @allankles I agree the current version of Luthor can be in something as good as the Killin Joke. Intergang were created as enemies of Orion, the New God. What I am trying to say is that writers are unimaginative, or Superman is too powerful, because he has to borrow to many enemies to have a decent rogue gallery. On the other Hand , Spiderman, lends enemies, such as Kingpin to Daredevil, or the Flash lends enemies to a series , Captain Boomerang on Suicide Squad.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer Intergang are a natural enemy as they operate in Metropolis. How many Superman villains have branched out? Mongul, Satanus, Blaze, Henshaw so that works both ways.

And Supes gets new villains everytime, guys like Atlas, Subject 17, Khyber, Arion and plenty of other Alien nemesis.

  • @allankles in the case of Superman he recieves more enemies than the ones he gives. And as for the Alien Guys, well will just have to wait and see they come and go, Preus and Draaga, for example a re gone for now.. And your Argument for Intergang, really has some substance , but think of it one moment, Sandman operates in N York, does that make him a foe of Dr. Strange i don t think so.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer Not the same with Sandman and Strange. Orion is a New God he lives in another dimesnion, so obviously long term Intergang would naturally clash with Supes more naturally. Yeah the Aliens come and go, but that's part of the nature of a Superman on going, he's a global and cosmic hero at the same time, he gets new villains some of them stay others leave.

  • @allankles Well lets see it from another angle. Not only Superman has few intersesting enemies . but some of them just vanish. How , you might say?, simple, Superman , from time to time gets re booted, his old origin starts from zero , and many characters are lost or put on a freezer. After the 1985 Crisis, the new origin insisted on Superman as the sole survivor of Kripton, so no more Zod, Jax-Ur, Faora, Quex-Ul, or whomever.

  • @allankles Then on 1988 or so Superman killed a Zod from a Pocket Universe, nowadays he and other Kryptonians have returned, with a totally different origin , and similar motivations. To put it short for many years they dint even exist. Batman on the other hand has no problems of that kind, his villians , are the same from 1939 onwards, including the new ones , no one has gone to limbo to relaunch continuty or boost sales.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer Actually Zod has been around for 10 yrs or so. He appeared at least twice in this decade before the New Krypton story. Plus Zod is just one guy. Faora also appeared before the recent New Krypton, Jax Ur has also been around. Again Superman has had a single continuity on since Bryne back in the late 80's.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer And he does have a ton of interesting baddies. I'd put Braniac, Luthor, Darkseid (at least in animation or live action), Manchester, Mongul (especially in his Moore form) and Arion above Bat villains like Two Face, Joker, Ra's, Riddler, Freeze, Hatter etc.If Supes had Batman-like villains they'd all be like the Prankster or Toyman.

  • @allankles Mongul is interesting on that Moore Story , that is a homage to the Golden Age Superman, but for me it is an average Moore Story, The one that really is great is Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow. I have to admit that Grant Morrrison did a great and funny Job in Superman All- Star, but that is not Superman Standad, for every gret Superman Story there are 20 that are disposable, and forgettable.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer You could say the same for a lot of heroes. Red Son, All Star, Man of Tomorrow, "peace, justice and the american way", kingdom come, camelot falls, Superman Beyond and I'm sure there are others I've left out. All Star Superman was best of the All Stars. Supes is a larger than life figure, you have to put him larger than life stories and not treat him like a spiderman or batman.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer I think Bats has a lot of weak villains outside of 3 or so names. Supes villains tend to be too powerful, too dangerous to appear repeatedly over a short time, so it appears like the well is dry but it isn't, he constantly encounters alien threats or super powered threats engineered by human folly.

  • @allankles I dont consider Darkseid a Superman Villian, see he is a New Gods Villian, i already stated that, but after Kirby left the series, Darkseid Became Interesting in the Great Darkness Saga, against the Legion of Super Heroes, In Legends, genesis , and Final Crisis he went agains the whole DCU so he is not a Superman Villian.

  • @TheVetoSkreeemer I said Darkseid is a Supes villain when you put him in live action or animation, a medium more accomodating to suspension of beleif.

In the comics, I already agreed that Darkseid is not a Superman villain.

  • if they make another superman movie darkseid has to be the villian ... someone who can match superman's strength

  • @Tywin13 Unfortunately for you, the next superman movie has Zod. But don't worry, when the JLA movie gets out of development hell, you'll tremble before the might of DARKSEID

  • @Tywin13 Superman is to Darkseid as a 11 year old boy is to his father... his abusive, megalomaniacle father.

  • lol still cant stop watching...wish darkseid was real...but man...i wouldnt wanna be his subject...i would rule with him..LOL i wish as i said...but hes a drawing lol

  • what are you 9?

  • nahh man im 16...but i get into shit like this...because its the concept of that really happening that makes me really excited..plus LOL why are you watching this...are YOU 9? 0.o

  • no I'm not and i enjoy comics and cartoons but you can be a bit more coherent with your comment

  • damn man....darkseid is the best villain of all time...ruthless...strategic...warbound...he is a true titan...thanos should bow down to his might...if only they fought

  • Thanos vs Darkseid who would win :O?

  • darkseid..he cant disappear..and reappear...at will...he has an omega beam that can almost never miss its target..he is properly prepared in every fight...let me quote something that you will never forget. "All the power and potential on the planet fails succession and will cause desperation when you do not practice preparation."

  • "Let the universe howl in despair for I have returned"

  • what is the anti life equation?

  • he's one of the most awesome villains of all time

  • Thanos uses the Reality gem to undo this crap from this existance.

  • How but he uses it to undo you from existance so we don't have to listen to your whining? <_<

  • ?? was that to me

  • XD No it was to BadGuy10472...

  • Why can't they put Darkseid in the next Superman movie?

  • kick ass song

  • 2:15 lol

  • darkseid must remain dead

  • Lol, I have to admit, I actually LAUGHED when I saw that Batman had entered the fight.

It's not like He was going to be any help, and if anything, He was actually endangering HIS OWN LIFE.

  • Thats what Batman does, risking his life for the good of others. By jumping into the fray he drew Darkseid's atention away from Superman alowing him time to recuperate and face Darkseid with rejuverated effort.

So saying that Batman wasn't of any help is a grave underestimation of the fortitude and strenght held within the character because even though he dosent have superpowers he will never stop saving the world any way he can.

P.S. didnt actually mean to sound like such a overanazling dork.

  • music is stratovarius - alpha and omega

  • loneliness + alienation + fear + despair + self-worth ÷ mockery ÷ condemnation ÷ misunderstanding x guilt x shame x failure x judgment n=y where y=hope and n=folly, love=lies, life=death, self=dark side

  • Anti Life Equation?

  • @BLACKRedDragon Isn't that the Anti-Life Equation?

  • whats the song called

  • While beating the shit out of Superman - "Super or otherwise, YOU are JUST a man".

  • "And i am a GOD"

  • Darkseid is the SHIT...period!!!

  • Makes me want to cry in happyness.

  • This is so good I can't believe it

  • Darkseid is The King of King.

  • Darkseid (Uxas) = Infinity-Man (Drax) = Highfather (Izaya) > Kalibak = Orion > Mister Miracle (Scott Free) > Grayven > Doomday > Superman

Darkseid, Kalibak, Orion e Grayven >>> Doomday > Superman

  • I'm going to have to respectfully disagree.

I love Darkseid and all, he's definitely a favorite villain, but I believe Doomsday would own up on him. While the movie done no justice for Doomsday, from what little comics I've read, Doomsday is a monster among monsters. Hell, Darkseid even recruited Supes for help against him if memory serves

  • In the comics Darkseid fought Doomsday and Darkseid got beaten badly.

  • Comment removed

  • Stratovarius rocks!

  • good video but I didn't like the music.

  • the best Darkseid story i seen yet

  • Very well suited, well done

  • what is the name of this song in the background here?

  • It says that right in the information box. It's "Alpha and Omega" by Stratovarius, from their album "Elements, Pt. 2".

  • Yeah.... sure...

  • I'm really hoping someone can help me, i've been trying to locate an episode. In this video its right after Darkseid returns to Apokolips and the fighting stops, its where Darkseid emerges from a boom tube.....i believe Superman immediately goes after Darkseid but i can't figure out the details. Is that justice league or JLU and what episode? This would help me win a big bet. Thanks

  • its the episode Twilight, from Justice League

  • justice league the episode was called twilight

  • Darkseid is Officially The Greatest Villain Of All, (besides The Joker) He Has Already Conquered The DC Universe In Final Crisis.

  • @itestudent He TEMPORARILY conquered Earth in Final Crisis, but Batman, a mere mortal killed him by shooting him with a Radion bullet. Radion is the only thing that can truly kill a New God, thus proving that god is just a title of convenience. By definition, a true God is immortal, nothing can kill a true God.

  • @DavidbarZeus1 Um... thats not true. The Gods are killed all the time. Hindu gods die, are reborn and die again. Jesus Christ died and came back. Greek gods could be killed. The Norse gods even aged normal unless they ate their apples of youth. Egyptian gods died and becam rulers of the underworld. Just saying...

  • @kallistiX1 Your forgetting a very important fact. Jesus Christ died because he was born into human flesh and blood. He rose from the dead because he is the son of God.

  • @AGT619 I don't think I forgot that, I just didn't mention it. Not really relevant, is it?

  • @DavidbarZeus1 In contrast to the final crisis, it's fucking retarded that Superman and Batman were able to make it back to the time they needed to, from a prehistoric time where Darkseid apparently sent them. Conveniently enough SUPERMAN of all fuckin' people made a time machine to do so...yeah riiiight.

  • @RelytNosirrom Um, when was that? I don't remember that being in the Final Crisis, or any Crisis for that matter.

  • @DavidbarZeus1 I'm actually not too sure myself, but I'm positive I'm not just spewing it out of my ass. I think I read it when I wiki'd Darkseid. Try it out, you'd have to read a bit, but it's Darkseid and he's interesting enough.

  • @RelytNosirrom I read over the Darkseid wiki page, and Darkseid DOES send Batman to the past using the Omega Beams, but not Superman. What Superman does is counter the Omega energy in Batman so that Darkseid's plan to destroy the Earth using it doesn't succeed.

  • @DavidbarZeus1 Hah! How the hell did I manage to twist that the way I did? =/

  • In the beginning when Lex saw that it was Darkseid that came out and not Brainiac the look on his face was priceless. XD

  • It's like: Making the tech to reconstitute Brainiac: Millions

Building a ship to fly there: More Millions

Seeing the look on Lex's face when Darkseid comes out of the portal instead of Brainiac: priceless. XD

  • nice lol

  • haha yeah he's like...amg wtf!!!

  • Yeah that was one of the coolest moments in JLU.

  • :O Darkseid is so badass.

  • In his world a weak and timid guy like me cant survive for a living!! Ill be like the lowlies in Apokolips!

  • Of all the evil beings in history, nothing scares me more other than the Joker is Darkseid. Have you heard of Final Crisis?!! Darkseid has done the impossible!! And his Evil knows no bounds! He planned Countdown up to his final victory!!..

  • yeah, but if they had Captain Marvel and Superman, they could own Darkeid together.

  • say were can i gat this song?

  • Q cap es ese?? o que pelicula?? estoy perdida

  • Darkseid is the greatest villain I've ever seen in comics. He's so smart, so ruthless and determined. He's all about power, nothing else matters. I liked him best in Batman/Superman adventures. JLU didnt do justice to his intellect or power.

  • DARKSEID - The true king of DC!!!

  • This guy speaks truth, no doubt.

  • darkseid is a beast...

  • odin is a marval god.

  • naw. he's a public domain god :)

  • hmm wired

  • i was wonderin with the dc universe who is the strongest becuase i know darkseid isnt because the android can beat him and then u have the gods such as odin and zeus but the ones u do see r hades and the others i just cant tell who is the strongest in the dc universe.

  • Amazo aka Ivo's Android is the most powerful, he can gain the powers of anyone he fights then perfect it removing every weakness of it and make it stronger.

  • well, their was an episode of jlu, were Amazo couldn't defeat solomon grundy.anyone can beat anyone at a cerain time and place.

  • what was name of guy with the flaming head?

  • Atomic Skull; he's a baddie

  • I really like this song for the clips. I love when Darkseid is emerging from the boomtube into the watchtower and it goes "I am the earth and sky...".

  • what song is this, and who is it by?

  • By Stratovarius.

Name of song: Alpha and Omega

  • I hate to admit it, but the progression of Thanos leads him from the status of a super-creature to something beyond the power of the Living Tribunal. Now, he may have been influenced by the "One-above-all" to recreate the universe, but this is still huge development. If you take time to research Marvel (took hours when I did it), you'll find that there exist many beings which hold power beyond anything Darkseid can ever have.

However, one is DC, and the other Marvel. Purely for debate. :)

  • Amazo has power far beyond darkside but you rarely see him fight..

  • Good point. You'd think it would make sense in the final episode of JLU to try to contact Dr. Fate and get Amazo on their side against Darkseid. I guess it would have made it too easy, or they would have to pull a "my powers have no effect" like they did when Amazo fought the resurrected Grundy.

  • Darkseid is more powerful than Thanos. Thanos' whole m.o. is to find some powerful artifact that seems to be conveniently lying around waiting for someone to abuse its power. Darkseid on his own can cause beings to be wiped from existence, create six billion superman like beings with his own power. Create beings like Stayne and Validus with his power. Also Darkseid generally projects avatars, the true darkseid can't be beaten in the physical plane.

  • The whole Darkseid Avatar thing is about as stupid as Thanos's clones or Doombots. just a way for a writer to cover up the losses of their pet villain as being 'exactly as planned'. i hate that kinda garbage

as for more powerful....well, look at Thanos's feats under his power and then look at Darkseid's in recent years. generally i see both Thanos and Darkseid as pure physical equals, but the way each have been portrayed by their respective company tells the tale of the tape.

  • Darkseid's history shows that under his own power (no tech or uber artifacts conveniently lying around) he's more powerful than Thanos by some margin.

This is what I'll say, if you actually count the number of losses he's had, even his avatars or Desaad in disguise as Darkseid, they are not very many. A couple losses to Superman who can beat just about anyone in DC if the situation demands, isn't some knock on DS. People always assume DS has plenty of low showings, recently he's more powerful.

  • did you miss where i think they're equals? All I'm saying is that Thanos gets more respect from his company than Darkseid has in recent years. Animated Darkseid is how the guy should be portrayed, and its sad that comic writers can't seem to capture that or love to job 'Seid out to their latest creations or their favorites (Jurgens and Loeb for ex.)

on top of that, you have guys like Byrne coming in and retconning those defeats to Avatars or Desaad. easily as lame as clones or Doombots

  • i usually try not to get into these debates, but heres my two cents:

read Final Crisis, read Grant Morrison's Seven Soldiers, read Countdown and anything with Darkseid in it over the past year. he's finally back to the ruthless bastard we know and love (and thank fuck for Grant Morrison)

  • i do need to complete my Seven Soldiers collection. was really enjoying that series of series', but on a whole i'm kinda sick with all the various Crises at DC lately and their stuff that they try to push as earth shattering (Marvel's not better) to even keep up

everything i've heard about Final Crisis though has been thats its bad or flat out boring (this from people who's opinions pretty much mirror mine)

i'll wait till i hear how it turns out before i drop the coin to buy it

  • i understand perfectly. nothing really impresses in the comics universe anymore. however, Grant Morrison has only disappointed me with his failure to complete more than 2 issues of The Authority, past that, I've been consistently pleased by nearly all of his work at DC. As for Marvel, id say the only writer really worth reading is Brian Michael Bendis (honestly probably the best extended story arc writer in the industry right now). Ed Brubaker and Mark Millar are good, but Bendis is boss

  • Morrison i'm generally cool with. i even liked his X-Men run. he did an admittedly cool issue with Darkseid in JLA about ten years ago in Rock of Ages. wish that woulda got fleshed out more, the Darkseid part i mean

Bendis though.....his Daredevil was good, but i hate his Avengers. i mean when half the team gets their asses kicked by the Wrecker, you know you got problems

mostly what i've been reading lately is Annhilation, which is pretty good minus the Phyla Vell miniseries

  • i just really, really love his ultimate spider-man, and even his avengers, though admittedly less. secret invasion is great so far though, and his daredevil run was probably the best since frank miller's (lol, back when miller was a good writer).

idk, i just really respect the scpe of what bendis has done. with secret invasion hes basically topping off four years of quality storyline with a heap of EPIC-ness. and his dialogue is just so entertaining to me. i def see what you're talkin about tho

  • i get you mean, plus the SI stuff makes sense due to the Annhilation Wave practically destroying the Skrull Empire. i just don't go in big for the retcons.

"OMG! for years (insert character's name) has secretly been a Skrull!"

just kinda insulting in away, like "The clone is the real Spider-Man" or "Yeah....you know Hal Jordan going bad? wasn't him.....giant yellow fear alien"

  • yea, thats why i respect a lot of what he's doing now, like with Spider-Woman- he brought her out of obscurity after 10-20 years, reigniting a lot of old Spider-Woman fans, just to reveal her as a Skrull about a month or so ago. he brought her back in a big role for that one reason and still pulled it off well

you have no idea how pissed i was (and still am) at the whole One More Day Spider-Man thing a few months ago. its just one example of the kind of thing that should NEVER happen in comics

  • oh i know how pissed off you are about OMD because i am too. it seems the bulk of fans actually LIKE the marriage with MJ, but noooooooooo Quesada's gotta make it like he was when he was a kid

  • i know right?! OMD should have been called WTF considering what it did for continuity in the marvel universe. literally EVERYTHING got fucked around. i really hope mephisto turns out to be a skrull or something and this all gets negated within the next year, but probably wont happen because quesada's a tool. the marriage was a milestone in comics when it happened, and another example of peter's growth into adulthood, but joe went and dicked it around. what next superman breaks up with lois lane?

  • oh i hear ya there, and you may not be far off. there's rumors they're going to kill Lois in final crisis making it sorta their spin on OMD

and i love Mephisto as a villain, but ya know.....i'd imagine the Devil has better things to do than just take one guy's marriage.....i mean he didn't even get a soul out of it if i'm not mistaken

  • hearing that about lois is interesting, considering peter's marriage in '87 was definitely a factor in the decision for supes' marriage because of the precedent that it set. and you're right. mephisto's never really been a big spidey villain in the past i dont think. he didnt have a legitimate beef, and like you said, he didnt get much out of the deal. i just hate the example it sets: its bad to let your old, and basically dead, aunt die but its okay to make a deal with the devil. i hate that

  • pretty much said it all there

  • @TheBadGuy235

You guys need to read Siege: Loki. The short version: Mephisto and Loki are busy messing with each other. Mephisto is obviously trying to use Parker as leverage to get Loki to make a deal with him.

  • @vilbobaggins666 Actually, I call it "WTF is wrong with Joe Quesada?"
