Im proud to be Canadian not just cuase of our great troops but becuase we were smart enough to relize this afghanastan war is stupid and took there troops back home. I joined the military 3 months ago and im only 19 and there were alot of 18 year olds so this is a shighn that no matter how old you are you can do anything you set your mind to.

I'm enlisting after I turn 19 two years from now, not because I want to be a hero or kill people, but because I want to protect the people I care about and save lives. If only we put as much money into the equipment as we do for our training. That would probably bring down the soldier loss. If only the country further South would be a little more grateful. Thank you to thepeople in Toronto who forced the government to recall our troops from Afghanistan. I pray that Afghanistan is able to keep power over the insurgents as we move out. Do not take it as I hate our army, becuase I believe in what we are doing.

@ChaosSpiritBear We do have great equipment but theres a law that says that even if you are in an armored vehicle the blast of an ied (the shockwave) will still kill you which is the sad truth of it....Even the most armored tank wouldn't protect you.

The Canadian forces have been fighting in areas where other countries refuse to send their soldiers (we all know who they are). They've been doing a great job.

The few US soldiers that I've talked to returning from Afghanistan said they had the utmost respect for the Canadian soldiers. Although, they did want to raid their on-base Tim Hortons (do you guys seriously have a Tim Hortons on base, or were these guys just pulling my leg?)
