Thank you! Tears of JOY are raining down my face. I am expecting baby #6, 4th home birth, first unassisted birth. We are 2 days past due. your video was just what I needed. What a beautiful Blessed family.
I had a midwife and started out at home with my 1st, but transfered to the hospital at 9cm(his head was tilted sideways and no position worked after many hours) My 2nd baby's birth was perfect. She arrived on a gorgeous summer morning in our home with a midwife.
My Christian family disagreed with my choices, I never understood how they couldn't trust God in this. Your words remind me that my faith was enough. I left my babies in God's hands and He knew exactly where they needed to be born.
How wonderful! Seven children--you have been SO blessed. We had a pretty terrifying crisis when our daughter was born, so it is such a joy to me to witness when it goes so beautifully and naturally. Blessings to your entire family!
I would encourage moms to read tons! Take an infant CPR class. You will have to order all your own birthing supplies, like sterile scissors, cord clamps, pads that go under your butt, a birthing tub (if you want a water birth), etc. Read Read Read! There are lots of books out there that can give you more advice.
I so enjoy it when I see births like this. It so helps when we have our God to help us through. So many women I've helped panic, but rarely do the Christian ones who've prepared.(I'm a doula)
"When Faith Endures" I will not doubt, I will not fear; God's love and strength are always near. His promised gift helps me to find An inner strength and peace of mind. I give the Father willingly My trust, my prayers, humility. His Spirit guides, his love assures That fear departs when faith endures. Text: Naomi W. Randall, b. 1908 Music: Stephen M Jones, b. 1960
that was beautiful! SO far I only have 2 little blessings, and althoguh I personally don't feel comfy birthign unassisted, I really wanna birth my next little one at home with a midwife.
Thanks for letting me know that you enjoyed the montage! It sure makes me feel good to know that sharing the photos uplifted you. Makes the hours putting it together all the more worthwhile!! May God grant you the birth that you desire!

Birth can be so beautiful if we let it! I always tell the Mommas in my classes that so much of birth is done in your mind?
What are your thoughts on that?
