I saw these guys 3 times, the first time at rock on the range, they headlined the whole thing on the second day, very last band to play. and everyone left after disturbed played...i was disappointed in the crowd around me. this band was the whole reason i went to rock on the range

Clearly none of you have listened extensively to Muse. Specific songs on specific albums have a similar and consistent motif to their sound, but you can CLEARLY hear the MAJOR differences between each album. Origin of Symmetry is very dark and riff-centric. Absolution is also dark and has a slightly metal edge to some of its instrumentals, Black Holes and Revelation is space rock, etc, etc. I was in front for both APC's and Muse's set at Lolla. They both kicked major ass. Friday was the best day

APC is not anything like grunge. They actually have creativity and complex song structures. Just because James IHA is in the band doesn't mean they are post grunge either. They are modern day art rock.

I'm a GREAT appreciator of both Muse and APC. If you think Muse are "uncreative" and "sound the same" then you are COMPLETELY WRONG. I used to think Muse were the only band who were creative in this day and age. But then I found APC and was relieved that I had two bands. Muse are THE BEST band Live, and Matt Bellamy is a VERY TALENTED musician. Maybe their meanings aren't as brilliant as the lyrics of APC songs though.

But just, as a Muse fan who has listened to all of there albums, and also a huge Radiohead fan, I really don't see the comparison (except for a few songs). Muse have definitely created their own thing and I love it. It may not be as weed influenced as APC (which is a good thing) but it definitely is full of energy and emotion like I haven't seen before. Check out "Falling Down" off their first album, then Exopolitics, then Knights of Cydonia.

Matt Bellamy is great.. and his guitars are not only unique but he knows what he's doing with his sound, however APC is like the Ocean and the Stars and the Sun from dusk till dawn.. whereas Muse is but a fjord along the seaside compared...great nonetheless but does nt hav the palette capacity APC yields mightily..

I concur, a perfect circle are royalty in the art music community. But sometimes they open, because they are humble. I am guessing that it's because they've been out of circulation for a few years prior to this tour, and muse pumps out more product.
