  • I hate to say it as a former member of the 110 but i much prefer the arr. of enter sandman that michigan plays over the 110 version...too bad michigan doesnt dance!

  • wierd uniforms,but good music

  • What I find interesting is alot of my high school band songs have been alot like these.. The coincidence? Our colors are yellow and blue, too.

    Walker Valley High School

  • @gorthjrod Haha maybe...or maybe a Michigan band alumni on staff? :)

  • @heathrown Not sure! This year we're doing final countdown, eye of the tiger, carnival of venice, and devil went down to georgia, all in the opener. Our ballad will be take a bow by rihanna, and the drum break is some sort of Japanese-style type drumming. We don't know on the closer yet, but this year is going to be quite interesting!

  • @gorthjrod Wow, quite a combination. Have fun with it!

  • our high school has been playing both of these songs for a while kind of a tradition at our school :D

  • we are gonna play this for our final song at hawaii

  • What do they say at 0:37?

  • @MrThedude456 "let's go!"

  • GO MICHIGAN!

  • that was pretty much awesome!!!

    :)

  • Great job ! dude

  • Apresentação e coreografia muito boa, mas o arranjo péssimo.

  • Thats cool hope i can get my director to let us play it

  • Thats cool hope i can get my director to let us play it

  • I live on the corner of Madison and Second (A2ites know where I am). I can hear these guys practice every night. Awesome!

  • are there no first trumpets in ur band?

  • thats legit

  • im not a michigan fan at all but i <3 their band director he has great taste in music

  • Please can I join Your band...

Im in a band but they dont play these songs at all and i love them both.

  • you do this isnt a high school marching band this is Michigan State right?

  • its not Michigan State either. lol. its University Of Michigan.

  • Badass!

  • Lars is probably got his lawyer on the phone right now.

  • drumline has sweet parts

  • WTF they changed ?

  • y they wearin footbal jerseys

  • i wear foot ball jerseys to my band practices. they have holes. they feel good. especially on hot days.

  • uhh were they supposed to switch songs?

  • Interesting story about that...this show was performed in Sept 2005. The original second song was "Rock you like a hurricane", which seemed less appopriate since Hurricane Katrina had coincidentally just hit the Gulf Coast!

  • ohhhhhhh ok

  • actually the second song was enter sandman by metallica.

  • Good point

  • i come from germany tihs song is very very good good job

  • Comment removed

  • have you ever listened to the actual song? thats the tempo its supposed to be at

  • u suck

  • no

    u guys fail

    POWELL

  • that's not possible. ever.

  • Comment removed

  • not bad. i think there should be more marching and there wear some tempo issues, but besides that good job

  • berkner sounds a hell of alot better than this shit

  • Only on my little digital camera.

  • Was this recorded on film?

  • amazing

  • I love playing The Final Countdown at our games!!! :D You guys are awesome!!!! My dad went to Michigan state. :)

  • Amazing!!!! GO Blue

  • I love the mellophone part around 26 seconds.

  • whoo....that a pretty sweet run.....but the song needs a little practice only half of the people have it down

  • The final countdown is so fun to play at football games XD I usually just sing. I have the high harmony and it's boring.

    Good job(:

  • This is brilliant. Not heard a marching band play anything so diverse!

  • im trying to learn this on my trombone, michigan is awesome this sounds perfect xD

  • all right!!!!!

  • Thank you Michigan

  • Wow it sounds like its right off of a cd. These kids are good!

  • not all american bands sound this bad. i can find high schools that are five times this

  • And the UK is SOOO much better eh? Fuck off asshole.

  • :]

    i love these songs!

  • how big is the band?

  • usually 250+ members

  • wow you guys are so lucky to be able to have more than 63 people!

  • dang, the playing is pretty alright, but that was some of the worst marching i've seen!

  • Sounds Good Check out this Final Countdown by Florida A&M.

  • FAMU is beast... I'm goin up for camp this year

  • wow my jr.high band trumpets ar e way better than these ones

  • your so full of it. im sorry but there is no possible way a stupid junior high band can even compare to a major university band.

  • you do not know that for a fact. only when you have listened to EVERY junior high school band can you honestly state that. I have heard a junior high school band that was 50 times better than you guys...

  • first of all im in the U of M band, im an HSU marching Lumber jack, and im not saying were better than anyone. Our goal is to just strait have fun. But seriously no middle band can even remotely be close to comparable to the blue band

  • ha, its funny when band nerds start arguing in youtube comments.

    *said as a "clarinerd" myself

  • The rule i go by in final countdown for mello is: when in doubt play high D

  • Weird you crossed over from final countdown to enter sandman. I do pep and marching at my school n i love them both but we only march for homecoming and parades that we are asked to attend. I love band i play the clarinet and tenor sax. We actually played enter sandman for homecoming this year it was awesome we have cool drum player. Except we play the whole song! good job!

  • i will shut up. Because i am not going to argue with an ignorant kid. You should know the diffrence

  • good music, but they hardly even march....

  • thats because it is a marching band not a pep band

  • if you think a pep band plays better than a marching band, im sorry to say but you fail misrably

  • read it again the guy first said it did not sound like a pep band version. I SAID ITS BECAUSE ITS A MARCHING BAND DUMBASS. I played in band for four years and it was the best time of my life. fyi i also played in the pep band

  • chill son..

  • sorry i just hate stupid people :)

  • i dosen't sound like a version of pep band cause its a thing called a marching band

  • Michigan band sucks. Even their colorguard sucks. I should know bc I marched 2005 colorguard in West Virginia University band and 2004 Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps colorguard. They dont march and the colorguad is more military style flag corps.

  • wow...my school's band is WAAAAY better than this...:\

  • silly kid

look at some of their halftime performances, if you think your so much better

  • wow, mr. I cannot find a decent display name so I'll opt for a palindromic number, you're nice (sarcastically)

  • they are also t

lucky cuz the michigan band has talent

ur probably, a little middle schooler who thinks his band is the best in the world

    when you really just suck

  • excuse me? you're calling the principal of the Nashua High School North Band a "little middle schooler who thinks his band is the best in the world when [he] really just suck[s]"? You can't even spell "Student" properly, so I think you should back off a little. Maybe study for your end of third grade exams, neh?

btw: I have plenty of reason to think that our band is the best in the world, we have SIXTY-THREE (63) members and we sound infinitely better than you!

  • ...wow, you are ONE CRAPPY PRINCIPAL, BITCH FUCK YOU AND YOUR SCHOOL

your what like 90 years old, and your bragging that your band is "better" than me?

    u need a life

  • omg u guys are the best band in the world

    63 members, o my gosh

    trust me u guys suck

and i play trumpet, bass, guitar, french horn, and guitar

so lets see u retards top that bitch

  • Well, if you don't mind me stating, Berkner High School has around 300 members, look up the name on Youtube sometime. It's very hard to classify "the best band in the world" but in the eyes of a freshman with great pride for his school, I feel like our band is very good.

  • Rofl, enter sandman sounds jazzy in band form...

  • Enter Sandman is a basic show piece for low brass. You can't hear any of it. At alll.

  • are you kidding me?! its all about the trumpets in this one!

  • There are as many ways to march as there are flavors of ice cream. No one way is correct or incorrect. High step is just as common as straight leg. Just depends on what the director likes/tradition. I've seen many different methods on horn facing, from "to the box" to "same as the feet" and "face the sideline."

  • mmm i'm lost with the marching tech. i'm freshman in high school, n they taught us to march with legs straight, not how they do it.

  • When you start marching to the rigt or left u want your feet to go the way you're going.

You keep your instrument faceing the crowd.

Don't worry I was confused at first.

  • if your whole body is always facing the same way, your band is doing it wrong. your upper body is ALWAYS supposed to be facing the audience, unless you are specifically told not to. your legs go in the direction your marching.

  • Your legs go in the direction YOU'RE marching.

  • lol, oops. i didnt realize that grammer was of such high importance to "captDouchebag"

  • It's not anything of "high importance." It's just something I thought I would do to help.

  • Yes true for all previous comments but also sometimes it is different, like for percussionists who crabwalk sometimes

  • We dont have percussion that marches, we just normally have them in the pit.

  • Oh. the badn director of my band is a percussionist himself so he favors solos and such with them, so they're usually featured in the march

  • then I recomend AFRICA: CEREMONY SONG AND RITUAL.

  • Thank you. i suggested that to my director. *fellow "clarinerd" ;)

  • yay! Another one!!!!!!!!!

  • i love that song its so epic

  • uh Utter....this was added almost a year ago, and the info says 2005....i dont think they can fix that mistake right now :P

  • just want to say, at about 1:00, during a hold one your trumpets starts to mark time. That's just a general rule, then at 1:40, one of them spreads there legs while nobody else does, that looks horrible. Watch your trumpets please.

  • What are you, from Ohio State or something?

  • On :17 one of the trumpets in the front line is off step, coming from a college band, that shouldn't be happening.

  • I'm In A Small Town And In the Marching Band Percussion, We played that EXACT thing in the stands... it fun...

  • Butchered..

  • Illusions, Michael! They're illusions!

  • we're playing both final countdown and enter sandman...and we are almost as good

and we got the music on 5 days ago.

  • mobody cares how good you are unless you can prove it

  • alright

i was just putting it out there

nope i don't got proof yet

  • holy crap my high school marching band is playing this exact same tune in the stands....and when u hear the begining it sounds real ez but the fingerings are so tangled up its real hard....its by far the hardest thing were playing on da stands...

  • try 25 or 6 to 4, the real song....

  • 25 or 5 to 4 is is much harder than final countdown

  • you mean 25 or 6 to 4 lol.

  • wow thats ridiculous if you think this is hard, my music folder has 130+ songs. and the hardest one in my opinion is Bohemian rhapsody, not a dumb arrangement but a direct transcription of the song. if you would like a copy of a song that is guaranteed to challenge let my know and i will get you a copy

  • FUCKING. KICK. ASS.

  • Hell Yeah!! Michigan is playing Metallica. Dude I wish my school can do that.

  • im moving to michegan for college :p

  • AWSOME!!! VID LOVE U

  • Awesome.

I hate that where the camera is all you get is trumpet (no surprise - trumpets are the favored child of the band anyway) But from what hear all the instrumentation is awesome.

  • that guy below me can die for saying that

this band is way to good for you so shut the hell up

they are more amazing than you will ever be

  • i want you to go outside with your band and play better than the michigan marching band while marching in a memorized pattern while counting your steps to keep in beat and glide stepping without moving your upper body. Your stupid fucking band wouldn't play the exact version better, and i know they can't play the same version sitting down better either.

  • I bet they would.

  • Really?

  • w00t trombone... but ur band probly socks that comment was ignorant...

  • I wasn't trying to sound stuck up. We prepared it for the whole year and It had better tone.

  • LOL no.

  • Such a small move at the beginning- I'm sure that my band would have lost it's line/diagonals, but these were nice. :) It makes me want to dance

  • Go Michigan!!!!

  • i thought our marching band show was cool... (the shining) but this is awesome

  • our final countdown is way better, and we're a highschool band.

  • your also fat

  • Final Countdown was the song I meant

  • We play this song for our pep bands that we do. U guys do a much better job. Our version is shorter. Great job!

  • im not sayin bands where im from are the best but hey, if yas wanted competition come 2 ireland! there are bands equally as gd all around the world... only difference is in america there school bands where as here there public... and america isnt the best country ya no! everywhere is equal!

  • do you mean that you can be in a marching band for a job?

  • final countdown is the best song but they play it way 2 fast in the begining

  • whatcha talking about fiendbuddy O.o. my schools band even plays it faster than that on average. it is an awesome song tho :D

  • they better be careful, metallica may sue their asses!!! sounds awesome!!

  • What's wrong with Michigan Play Metallica? Nothing. Because it's fucking Awesome!!

  • Fuckin' awesome. :D

  • In American bands, we have something called tradition. That style of plume has been around since the 40's if not earlier. Watch some more American marching bands, and you'll see the majority of them using them.

  • Lol nub

  • Lol nub

  • where the fuck are you from that the bands are so much better you wont see a better band than right here in the USA and last time i checked what do plumes have to do with the way a band plays o yea nothing

  • plumes are the best part of the outfit, especially when they're new white ones. THEY'RE SO SOFT :D

  • Ah, my favorite part of being a tuba player is I don't have to wear those super-gay hats and plumes.

  • I hate our plumes, they always smell bad

  • great bass line parts and executed well!

  • Trumpets sound good, but I am still bias to Fresno State Marching Band's trumpet and low brass sound. Then again I go there and I play trombone. Whoo! Fresno's drumline kicks ass too, haha.

  • Whoever said the Michigan sucks is Homo. Lets GO Blue, Lets Go Blue, Lets go Blue beat OSU! The Michgan Band is the best!

  • you r-tard this is the michigan marching mand and pine rige never herd of it so itds not inportant

  • its called a practice, it doesn't have to be perfect.

  • And I'm damn sure that school is nowhere near the caliber of the MMB.

  • supernatural ur frikin stupid shut the hell up....

  • we do this for pep band and i love it, its one of my personal favs!!

  • *bow* Very Very Nice. Wow good marching all in step from what i saw. Too bad my school isnt as good as this.

  • nice trumpet sounds
