i think these trucks are cool. the driver done even have to get out of the truck. ive seen real good operators on these things. they can get a trashcan next to a car without touching the car. ive seen it.
No.. dumptrucks.. possibly because they "dump" their load. I'm originally from Massachusetts. They actually didn't have many dumptrucks there. We would actually just bring our garbage to the town dump whenever we wanted..
Im from washington state. And we just set our garbage cans next to the road. And the garbage truck come and picks them up. Dump trucks here carry dirt and stuff.
Who cares, it's called "skraldebil" where I come from.
Anyway, as I understand it over from the areas more east than England, a dump truck would be one like the MAN truck I drive, either with container hoist or permanent (open) body?

Yep Dutch garbage systems own bigtime, almost all our waste gets recycled :)
And the more machines can do people here will use them :)

We call these "grabbers" in holland, my company has 10 of those and now they're started experimenting with one that can load 2 bins at one time.
