this is terrible! terrible, magically enough it looks ok on Nureyev himself, but somehow doesnt register on anyone else, This is so overchoreographed taking the beautiful simple moments musically and throwing crap on it. Like they say "if it aint broke" but me and my other dancer friends always pull this one up to have a good laugh. both beautiful dancers (though not the best at POB in my opinion. Good costumes though. and i love the snow corp (corp only, crappy pas) :) enjoy if you can.

It is actually a very technical piece of Par de Duex... But I think it's too technical and too much individual dancing, instead of a dance for two. Both are very good and wonderful technique displayed in the ballet. But I dun think there are not of interaction here. I can see the choreography attempted to create on the minor notes of the music. It is nice.. but yes, for me it's not perfect.

Rudy's choreograph is too hard in this pas. I wonder if he did this to show that he could do it. Maybe, he is just not a good choreographer. I do not expect Rudy to be Sir Frederick. Even a low-level dancer, such as myself, knows that to release the back leg into arabesque on demi pointe, especially when you first come out on to the stage, is so much harder that doing zillions of pirouettes or tours. The PO dancers are the best on the planet; I miss Rudy's recklessness.

What beautiful lines, what beautiful costumes. The costume department at POB always does a great job. And she is just very pleasant to watch, even though I don't really like the choreography so much. But nevertheless, beautiful!! Well done.

Despite the choreography isn't the classic one, that I belive is wonderful (with Nureyev and Fonteyn); her outfit is more than beautiful, the color is very delicate and the crown gives a so elegant look. The dance itself is veryu good to the sigth, and the parts where they do the sames steps is lovely!!!!!

i prefer the Nureyev version. even though in today's standards these dancers have better technique, i think they are no where near as great as Rudolf Nureyev and Merle Park. The choreography is the same but it somehow does not have the same 'wow' factor as the one with Nureyev. that's just my opinion.

Ould-Braham pisses from a great height on the other female etoiles. Some, such as Cozette, Gilbert, Osta are just coryphees made lucky. The POB is a mess of intenecine politics and bizarre favouritism. The real talent is in premier danseur and below. Belingard has charisma, but he's a modern ballet dancer, in the classics the deficiencies in his technique are woefully apparant.

I would allow for any deficiencies ih his tecnique simply to see his style of moving and that charisma, I find simply techanically brilliant dancers very lacking in entertainment value, in fact they can be boring. Expression and feeling .are equally inportant. Very often "modern dancers" can also perform true character dance in an authentic manner. Something sadly lacking in the west. It is the gift of accomplishment as a dancer.
