  • have you got a link to download a better version

  • loving the original theme tune

  • thank you so much, i aint seen this 1

  • u can not buy these, ive got a dvd full of rare apisodes £10 each lol

  • Blimey! I have never seen this before!! Where did you get that from?

  • what is this anyone know when it was made

  • @ShaunPalmerr 1981

  • wow cant find this one in the shops now must be a pilot show befor the first siris

  • thx for this it was amzing !!!!!

  • Yes they threw it in!!!

  • thanks guys

  • Fools and horses is awesome.... :)

  • Is that the same Vicar that loses his hat at Grandads funeral in 1985?

  • different song at the start - very rare indeed !

  • not really i got loads of videos of this one

  • @texaspete66 the song in this one is the same one that was used in the first ever episode (its on the dvd versions too) but the writers of only fools and horses (john sullivan) didnt like it so he write and sung his own song which is the one that has always been used.

  • never seen this one before!

    thanks

  • Haha how am i gonna become a millionaire when im surrounded by and bunch of wolly's. OFAH is amazinggg.

  • smart, cheers for that

  • It is a common misconception that chaz and dave sang the main theme.

It was infact the writer of the show 'JOHN SULLIVAN' He was so nervous about doing the song he got s**t faced before hand.

Never have i laughed so hard at brilliant comedy writing.

    ONLY FOOLS (John Sullivan)

    PORRIDGE (Clement and Le Frenais)

STEPTOE & SON (Galton & Simpson)

    -- -- -- --

It is a comedy must to check out those writers back catalogue...IMHO.

  • Very brave of you to come out so publicly!

  • Yh Commo the Homo lol

  • how original

  • such nice feeling to watch OFAH in rainy night

  • /watch?v=eoa8xS7BsmA&feature=channel_page

    watch my top 10 characters!

  • thank the lord they turned to chaz and dave and changed this terrible theme music

  • what episode is this, was it ever released, i dont remember it

  • Sad Git, what you doing on here then you plonker!!!

  • hahahahahahaha

  • i cant recall the bloke who plays Slater winning awards but he was good in this but David Jason, Nicholas Lyndhurst, Lennard Pearce and Buster Merryfield and others made the show a cult classic.

  • Jim Broadbent I think

  • Only Fools And Horses was originally going to be calle READIES (as in money) For the actual title he intended to use, as a reference to the protagonist's tax and work-evading lifestyle, Only Fools and Horses. That name was based on a genuine, though very obscure saying, "why do only fools and horses work? (for a living)", - And the guy that plays Slater is JIM BROADBENT - he's a cracking actor - who has won more awards than David Jason in films/tv for his acting roles :)

  • Im sorry but to people who say it wasnt David jason who made this a success and was many other things, If the guy who plays slater took the part of Del trotter, no matter who he had with him only fools and horses would have Failed totally. David Jason is the sole reason for fools and horses success! Ive been watching this since the first ever ep and seen them all a million times over and still watch them and laugh no different than watching for the first time lol, its the best programme ever!

  • Dam right!

  • @CarpMagic95 you are so so true, no matter how many times ya watch em ya still laugh as much as if it was ya first time of watching it!!!

  • @CarpMagic95 I agree that truly nobody else could of played Del, but i think it is unfair to say David Jason was the SOLE reason there is so much talented acting in this show, everybody played there part magnificently and was really suited to there role, besides Del would not be a classic if he didn't have burks like Trigger to stitch up all the time!!

  • @CarpMagic95 true and the guy who plays slater is jim broadbent (academy award winner) so hell of a testament to just how good David Jason was and how integral he was to the show!

  • . . .

  • wha???

  • do us a fovor dont be a plonker all life rodney

  • oh man, they coulda turned THIS and

"a License to Drill" into full episodes....like have a moment where Rodney got covered in Oil in a Licence to Drillor have a moment with a dog and the Christmas tree in this

  • Yeah good idea,

They should have involved paddy the greek a little more and get him to do the same deal with somebody else...

  • and Del boy and Rodney find a way to tuck him right up? yeah they should've lol

  • I'll have a wagon wheel!

  • wow! what's up with the intro tune? :O

  • this was the original theme tune in Series 1- John Sullivan later wrote the new theme tunes as there was often confusion about the reason for the title of the show! On DVDs the series 1 theme tune has been replaced with the regular that we all know and love. However you can usually catch the old theme tune on OFAH VHS tapes, and sometimes on reruns of the program on television!

  • good expl.

  • Also in the earlier episodes, Cash and Curry and I think the other one's Big Brother, they have a musical interlude when the guys are running about doing stuff. In the original Cash and Curry, they play Pink Floyd's "Money", but in the new DVD's it's something else kinda like the retro intro music. I like it, it's quite catchy.

  • yep theres lots people dont know about the programme etc, like the title was different to start with (i cant remember what was chose) but they changed it to fools and horses as the original title was taken by a band or something and the band made threats to sue. Also Roy slater (the bad cop) was interviewed and offered to play the part of Del but ** turned it down! ** as he was busy and couldnt take the offer up. Theres loads of other stuff to hehe

  • Its the original one its wierd i know

  • impossible to find episode! Laughed myself stupid at this one in the early eighties thanks for posting

  • Never seen this episode, and it's a shame it has not been included on DVD.

  • Love this show. It's a well known fact that the show is hailed as one of the greatest sitcoms ever produced. During 23 years, the show attracted over 30 million views, 65 episodes were produced, David Jason always believed the show deserved larger episode orders per season to allow creator John Sullivan to develop characters more and delve deeper into their relationships, unfortunately the BBC never put their hands in their pockets and commissioned enough episodes. The show will be cherished.

  • how ironic from Del Boy 'It's the world recession innit, it's effecting everything'

  • what was the compilation show this come from?

    anyone have any idea's?

im guessing with ronnie barker in the credits,

  • where was lynda baron and ronnie barker?

  • This Only Fools sketch appeared in a BBC Christmas comedy show. The credits show all the performers who appeared in the show. Ronnie Barker and Lynda Baron did a short 'Open All Hours' routine.

  • Never Seen this episode & it came under series 2, I've got series 2 & this one episode does not feature on the video.

  • It was just a sketch in a BBC Christmas comedy show, filmed at the same time as series 2 of OFAH but not actually part of it. Other sitcoms of the day also had mini-episodes as part of the show.
