  • @Chenoholic88 I still(Maybe) have learning about letters. I have to see if I can find that.

  • harmonica sounds like a cat moaning in the beginning of the credits.

  • Sesame Street - Getting Ready to Read - Ending Credits (1986)

  • omg i still have these tapes with this ending...3 years old! i'm goin on 22 now 0:32- the end of the song...for some reason always loved that lol

  • I've always liked the harmonica in this song.

  • No! 0:38 Que the Funky Chimes! Too quiet!

  • @Chenoholic88

That's nice to hear. Like I said before I used to have "Getting Ready For School", but it somehow melted. Don't remember how, but that's what happened.

"Northern Calloway"? I thought Northern was a compass direction and a brand of toilet tissue. XDDD

  • I'm downloading this for my promo.

  • Damn, Maria...You so sexy...

  • i love sesame street they are so cute especially elmo!

  • This video was put on youtube the day I turned 4. :)

  • @Ghatescinnamon7 I mean 5

  • I Think This Music Is Wonderful.

  • 1986 copyright info here, then what actual season would this version of the credits be taken from (aside from the 1980s video releases)?

  • The part from 0:27 - 0:29 creeped me out when i was 5 (I have a 1987 My Sesame Street video called "Sing Along" anyone else know "sing along"?)

  • I remember these videos - were there any logos that followed these very short credits?

  • @AllisonTheSNLGuru

I doubt it...I remember seeing this credits sequence as a young child (I used to have the VHS copy entitled "Getting Ready for School") and never say any logos.

  • @barber747 - I figured the Random House logo more than likely appeared at the end of the tape.

  • @AllisonTheSNLGuru

Speaking of the Random House logo, I remember seeing that one @ the beginning, along w/ the CTW production card.

  • @barber747 - Yup, those logos are at the beginning of the videos - I've seen plenty of them between my childhood and my time working in a daycare center.

  • That wasn't that many credits compared to the 1993 ones, I guess they eiher didn't need that many people or left a lot of people out of the credits.

  • @cjcapta

Dulcy Singer is one good example. She should be @ the beginning since she was the exec. producer!!!

  • That's the CUTEST Cookie Monster I've ever seen in my life!

  • dems where the credit's i remember :)

  • Maria was definately a hottie.

  • @Snoopy2299 agreed.

ironically, her real name was sonia and there was a character named luis...reminds me of operation repo.

  • Which video in the "My Sesame Street Home Video" series is this clip from?

  • im glad im me

  • I love this so much!

  • Cookie Monster at the new end credits

  • even though i'm 19, i still loooove sesame street! the harmonica rocks! i always used to get a plastic toy and pretend i was playing the ending theme for sesame street when i was a little tot

  • I love the harmonica!

  • I don't know what year it was, but I'm happy to be born the year this ending theme was still around.

  • OOO, MAria was cute in her hayday.

  • Yep!

  • 1986??? I don't remember this. Then again, I was 10 and only watched "The Street" when I was home sick that year.

  • 1992 Childern's Televion Workshop Sesame Street Muppet 1992 Jim Henson Muppet Company Inc. Pbs Logo 1992-1996

  • These credits were actually from a direct-to-video episode released sometime during the mid-to-late 1980s.

  • Yep you're right! The series was called "My Sesame Street Home Video"

  • I remember those credits . . . the Barkley one was much better, though (I have an mp3 of it)

  • oh yea, i remember that one!
