Vivaldi, "el pretro rosso", this is probably with Paganini, the best violonist of all time...I cry every times I listen his music!!! This is the best rendition in youtube and thank you for posting!
i have to play this as well. It's giving me a hard time... I really liked the way he's playing it. Unfortunately my sheet doesn't include so many trills...but it's great...!

No, this is not a recorder concerto. I have the complete concertos for flute for vivaldi, handel, bach, and mozart, and THIS one is NOT a recorder concerto, it is flute. This is correct.
This kind of music at the time of Vivaldi in Italy was played with recorders. So, recorder :) Then we don't need any transcription for the flute: playing the score, the result with the flute with be an octave downer than this which we're listening to, because the sound of the recorder is given one octave higher that what is written.
in italy they where not using flutes, at the baroque era, as pahud correctly reminds showing his CD. Flute was a german thing at that age, also Quantz says this in his book

thanks for posting this. I'm playing continuo for this in a concert today (on guitar). playing along with your recording is very helpful.

I think recorders sound annoying. They only sound good while played in an orchestra, but I prefer listening to the flute 200% over the recorder.
