  • That's like my puppy kenji he loves cats. Where ever we go and he sees a cat he tries to go by them. He doesn't even hurt him just wants to lick him. It is the exact same with stuff animals :))

  • Washing cats!

Unheard of, I like to chase them around the park

  • Sooooooooooooooooooo Handsome Akita

  • Brincando com a Comida =o

  • Ha ha--the purring is sooo cute! And the nose-bumps!

  • Ha ha--the purring is sooo cute!

  • Wish my old Akita liked cats this much. She was dubbed the "cat killer"...sadly when she broke out of her yard, she managed to kill a cat...or three.

  • rofl, the cat took a shower

  • I have a Shiba Inu, had a Samoyed before him. When I was a kid we had a Samoyed & later a Keeshond.

I love the Spitz breed dogs & would like to have an Akita Inu (not the poorly bred American version) later. But hopefully it will be many years before I'm looking for another dog.

  • Man if my dog ever did that to my cat I bet she'd hit my dog on the nose hiss at him and maybe run away or stand her ground and hiss at him. But then again my dog is a golden retriever and I don't think my cat would ever want to be licked by him.

    Really funny video ^_^

  • Akita: yummmm...it taste like chicken.... =)

  • He's just cleaning the cat before he eats it. Akita's like their food clean and served on a tray.

  • а потом появился кото-пёс))

  • OMG ITS AN AKITA HACHIKO (if u know what im talking avbout)

  • @MUSIC200756 I don't think it's strange. My Akita likes cats, but not all cats. He likes people, but not all people. And he likes other dogs, just not (most of) all other dogs. He's almost human ;-)

  • @BarbaTubeIt heh yeah mine too... exactly he likes my cat but really wants to rip the head of my friend's cat :P haha he likes some of my friends but when some other friends come home he's going all teeth... letting my brother's in law dog to eat from his food but he attacks some other dogs just when he spies them .. dunno what's happening... he's crazy :P

  • @Cherry13Boom Nah, he's just a dog. That's how they're wired. It's just they're living with people and pets instead of a bunch of other wolves, so the attachments transfer. He considers certain people and animals to be members of his pack, that's all.

  • Its kinda strange that a Akita Inu Likes Cats but hates other Dogs or Mostly Attack Them Akita Inu are the most Amzing Breed ive ever seen i just Love Them i hope to have Akita Inu to someday. And i will call him matsumoto or Takashi

  • This isss sooooo adorabbllleee-3:D

  • people ask for the price, because they are rare and expensive. you guys shouldnt be so mean about the answer. my mother wants one of these so bad because it is the same dog her grandfather had back in japan, but the price keeps her from getting one, so i feel very sad for her. an actual akita-inu only has a few breeders in the u.s. and can run 1500USD+ for the price of the dog alone.

  • that's real love <3 very nice and a little bit incredible.

  • awwe your dog is soo adorable i dont if you the movie called hatchi but it is a very good movie about a dog named hatchi and your akita looks exactly like your dog (: i wish i can have an akita but my parents say not cause there to much /:

  • our akita loved cats until one was rude to her.

  • @heilong79 Yes, I know! It's like asking parents how much it cost to "get the child". It didn't cost them anything - and the costs don't have any correlation with the value.

  • I always get the "So how much did he cost?" question all the time for my Malamute, drives me nuts.

  • I ♥ your akita!!!!

How old is she and how old is the cat??

    :D

  • Beautiful

  • only dog that don't hate cat

  • beautiful dog!

  • Awe! So sweet!

  • What cute purring! :')

  • oh, you're tired of the face? ok, i'll clean your asshole then

  • how did you train your akita to be good with a cat?

i want to introduce my new akita puppy to my cat.. but i'm scared once i put em together he'll pounce :o

  • This is love! =)

  • Oh my! So pretty I love that coat! =)

Akita's are absolutely stunning, I love them so much. I want one really bad. Hoping that I can get a new friend by summer but not sure if that's ever going to happen this year, moving once more so a lot of my savings are going towards my new place. -sigh-

How was it when you first got him? Was there any difficulties when training him? I'd like to know for future reference, I know this breed can be stubborn (apparently?).

  • @Cobycane u sound like a soft peron why don get nice gentle dog instead of a beast that need loads of work to tame and u probably need to cut its ball of and brak the sprit to control it

  • @zafeamoon I'm just a dog lover really and I get excited sometimes. I can't see myself with a pomeranian, chihauhau or a small breed. I've always grown up around Huskies, German Shepards, my brothers Bullmastiff and mutts. I like to believe I have a lot of experience with dogs.

  • that kitty does'nt need to take bath anymore...that dog doned it...haha...

  • Hi NRoland, that's purring (not growling) because she really enjoys this.

I even have a video where she attacks my dog because he stops!

  • @BarbaTubeIt i need to see that video...LOL

  • @BarbaTubeIt That type of purring from a short haired cat means it was in extasy (happiness not drug). The cat loves the dog, at least when it is getting cleaned.

  • i can hear the cat growling

  • I have Akita 2 years old and he is also really nice and not aggressive for children and animals. He is excellent dog.I love him.

  • so adorable!

  • He licks that pussy clean. >.<

  • yeah i know i have 2 dogs now , i found them on the street . Now they are >12 years old , just asked how much akita was for my future plans cause they are so adorable dogs . dont know what u meant by expenses .. if u meant casual expenses like feeding that is not a problem , but i think that they are hard to keep pets ? dont know just i want to gather some info can i have him or not ty

  • @Sylar899 It's just that whenever someone asks me about the price it's just that I think that the most irrelevant factor to take into account when making a decision to go and live with an Akita. Akita's are not just the average dog. I've been socializing my Akita and the breeder paid attention to this as well. So he's been around people and all kinds of animals. We've been in training, took private lessons as well, so now he can run loose. He's social and well behaved.. but it takes time.

  • @BarbaTubeIt This is true. I currently have an akita named Lexi, and before her I owned an akita named Kit. This breed takes a bit of work and is not for an unexperienced dog owner. They require lots of training and exercise, and they can be stubborn at times (it's part of their independent willed nature). But they can make the best companions and family dogs if socialized properly... BUT socialization IS key here! Not with just humans and other dogs, but small animals, like cats, too.

  • @Sylar899 very dangerous dog don buy unless it a puppy and it will need train better get a easy to train dog

  • Hhehehe very nice pets you have :D can u tell me how much did u payed for akita dog ? thanks :)

  • @Sylar899 It was over 5 years ago that I bought this dog. But don't go by it's price. A dog comes with far more expenses than just the buying price.

  • @GamertownUSA Akita Kensho was 7 weeks old when he arrived in his new home. The cat was about 12 years at that time. She had to learn not to run past him (which triggers his hunting reflexes) and it took a while before she knew 'hey, if I walk by in a normal pace he doesn't chase me'. After about 3 months a ray of sunlight became the peacemaker. It was a small beam of warm sunlight, the first that year and they both wanted a piece - so they had to be close together.

  • Very cute. Did they grow up together as kitten and puppy?

  • look this : youtube.com/user/enk1982?feature=mhum#p/u

  • The cat was purrrrrrrrring all the way which means the cat like it. These 2 must have grown up togather. Is good to see the Akita is so gentle too.

  • haha

  • @BigGirthyBob Oh.. that must be so funny to watch!! Cats that groom a Akita and take forever. Do you have a video? Let me know....

  • Lol. My Akita's do exactly the same to our two cats and the cats just sit there and purr also. Even funnier is that the cats have now started grooming the Akita's! Takes them forever just to do the tiniest little portion of fur! :)

  • @Heyman730 O yes! The Akita is a (very) heavy shedder. About twice a year he changes his coat. When the (grey) undercoat is lost, you could fill up many many pillows or knit many sweaters.

  • does the akita dump a lot of hair ?? :)

  • @hearthermc79 I live in the Netherlands and by official standards here we have a breed called Shiba Inu which is a small dog, we have an Akita (which comes in three colors: white, brindle and like my dog Kensho) and the American Akita which comes in all different colors, has a black mask and is more muscular. The American Akita was called Great Japanese Dog before. And the Akita was called Akita Inu before. Different countries, different names, same dogs.

  • @ barbatubelt- this is an Akita inu. A shiva inu is not an Akita. The larger akita's are known as the American Akita.

  • That's a happy cat n.n

  • Beautiful!

  • that is soooooooooooo cute!

  • there are just BEST FRIENDS!!!!! So cute!

  • JApanese Akina ftw XD

  • The cat is purrrrrrring so it must liked it. Good to see them caring for each other.

  • thats an akita? looks like a shiba inu

  • @dyscoveries This is a real Akita, Shiba Inu's are much much smaller.

  • If this doesn't make you smile, you probably don't have a soul.

  • my akita 3 months destorys cats, ive got it on video LOL.

  • This is probably the cutest video I've seen all day.

  • My sister's akita Max loves his kitty cat brother to. He does the samething when the cat lets him lol

  • this is excellent; rival species coexisting!

  • If that isn't cute, nothing is.

  • Mine gave each other kisses on the face and cleaned each other's ears. I can hear the cat purring! This is fantastic!!

  • Haha i like how the cat decides bathtime is over "ok I'm clean...I said I'm clean! thats enough!!" lol

  • N'aww that's cute! I used to have an Japanese Akita called Sensei. And he used to do this with my little King Charles Spaniel. He also used to "talk" to us when he wanted something haha. It's by far one of the best breeds of dog I have ever had the pleasure of owning.

  • Just precios, straight up and bluntly......

  • pusy cat? XD

  • How did you find this dog? There seem to be no white face, red coat Japanese type Akitas in the US... :'(

  • Aww! Such a passive kitty! My cat just sits there and takes it from our female german shepherd too. lol

  • @1:07... that cat is like... DAMN IT! That's enough already! lmao!

  • is your cat purring????

  • Pussies love a little lickin´

  • Is cat The Shreck ? :)

  • cute both of them r cute

  • Kitty seems to like it :)

  • how much does that akita weigh? she looks quite small

  • @StandupShowcase You're right... Kensho's father and grand father were too rather small Akitas. Currently he's 29 kilo's.

  • @BarbaTubeIt I like small Akitas n.n They seem to age well

  • @BarbaTubeIt How much is 29 kilos??

  • @GintokisGirl95 that will be 63.8 lbs

  • @BarbaTubeIt Thanks for telling me!

  • @StandupShowcase its an akita inu, much smaller then the regular

  • There is a LOT of love between these too you can not only see it but hear it as well in the cats purring. :)

Your very blessed with these two. :)

  • WOW that is one beautiful dog...amazing color..id love to have one like that

  • The Akita is saying; "Omae wa kawaii neko da!"

  • They're so cute!

  • What a beautiful Akita!!!!!!!!

  • To cute :)

  • @lauraann912: love has to come from both sides... my akita is very fond of my cat as you can see, and my cat usually just ignores him or will seek his attention. She doesn't swat that often (as the one time at the end of this video) and when she does they both understand. So you have to socialize and educate BOTH animals to get this kind of understanding... believe me it took quite some months of work.

  • lol the music in the background

  • Too cute!

  • i wish my akita liked my kitty that much Lol

  • sooooo precious! loved it! :~)

  • thats 1 clean pussy

  • The dog overdid it at the end

  • это просто чудо! я влюбилась в собак этой породы после того, как посмотрела фильм "хатико". чудо-собаки!

  • O _ O

  • かわいい!!和む~

    仲良しなんですね。

  • To be honest.

    My akita HATES cats.

I thought that, it's in their nature :S

  • With lots of socialization with cats as a puppy an Akita will do just fine around them. It's all about introducing the dog early on. Every dog should be socialized as a puppy with other animals, and people (chilren and adults). Otherwise any breed is likely to act aggressive or nervous/scared around those things.

  • thank you for explaining that

  • That's not totally true that they will be fine if socialized early. For over 5 years my Akita would act submissive whenever the cat had a "mood" and swatted at her ( I would always get her out of there and praise her for moving from the cat). But one day the cat swatted her and the Akita decided she'd had enough. Broke the cat's jaw but never actually bit down on her, thankfully. Never trust an Akita won't one day say "ENOUGH!" to something tolerated even for years.

  • Awe! How sweet! That Akita seems so friendly!

  • very nice.

  • I think thier in love!!!!!

  • kawaii!!!! So cute!!! I love this video hahahahahhaa

  • Just listen to that purring! Akita kitty groomer! <3

  • too cute! i wish my two akita's would do that to my cute! aww too cute!
