I saw this while it was in previews. Wow. I can't describe it. My mouth was hanging the whole time. I'm not sure how the reimagined version went, but I hope that it was better than the first, because the plot stunk.

The kid in me was totally blown away by the show, but the theatre student was a little bummed out. Why ruin a perfectly good first act with a second one that makes no sense at all? I realize that they've made some substantial changes since I saw it in January, but it was kind of a hot mess then (though I thought T.V. Carpio and Patrick Page were incredible). But these highlights don't really show you anything enticing.

I can't shake the feeling that the people who are raving that they loved this show are the same ones who come to New York and eat at Olive Garden and Applebees. While some of the visuals and acrobatics were stunning, the music was entirely forgettable, the acting was horrendous and many of the sets and costumes were laughably awful. My 11 year old loved it, but this really should be an arena show like ice capades or the circus, not a Broadway musical.

To all of you who think this sucks because it's not what your used to, come to the real world and use common sense. Think of it as a new begining! They change the story line or what ever, changing characters or whatever, and all that. It's like the spyro games! Who knows, they might have changed it for the better. Plus, remember, this is a live on stage thing. they can't add and edit special effects. Like the show for what it is. If you don't like it, that's too bad.

I saw it back in Janurary, it was more of a circus than a show. Some parts were good but others made absolute NO sense, like all these spiders randomly came on stage and started singing about shoes??? WTF so hopefully that answers your question
