Rough trombone solo, no swing, bad notes, splits. Count Basie Orchestra? Nah. Al Grey, Benny Powell, Henry Coker, all would have torn up on this number.

No disrespect to Myron or anybody else, someone that has played with the Count Basie Big Band is a great musician, but Butch Miles is one of the greatest drummers of all time. I personally like his playing style, kind of in the Buddy Rich mode, you hate to see someone of that caliber leave the band after so many great years, that's all i ment.

@stevebul There are many Count Basie videos on youtube that have many positive comments about Butch Miles. People out there, especially drummers loved his playing w/Count Basie. His playing stood out and really drove the band. His fills were explosive. His dynamics were perfect. Myron doesn't have that feel that Butch had. You and the rest of the world misses Butch with this band.

I had the absolute privilege of seeing this astronomically talented band a couple of months back in Sacramento, CA. They were nothing short of AMAZING. Never before have I heard a band be so incredibly tight and focused.
