@RainyDayPiper don't know about Reece but 7 yrs is the age that the majority of young pipers I know start on the chanter but they do start younger. Hope that helps
Thank-you! I started on the chanter when I was six (when my fingers were long enough). My grandfather started with my top hand because they are easier to reach. A good book to order to learn is "A Bagpipe Tutor" by Scott Williams. I went through the whole thing and so has my sister. It's a bagpipe tutor for children - you can order it on the internet by plugging in Scott Williams Publishing. Good luck! Hope this helps!
