There is only 1 season out so far, which consists of 6 episodes. HBO gave the green light for a 2nd season but I'm not 100% sure if filming has started. I live in North Carolina and very often visit UNCW (Wilmington is where it is filmed).

In fact, I've been to the bar that's featured in a couple episodes (Shaboom Shaboom's), although that isn't the real name of the bar that's in Wilmington.

I will say that Danny McBride is a comic genius, does it with ease and I think that's what attracted Will Ferrell to his credibility.
