11.5 million? that's kinda sad, i don't want to sound like an asshole (which i probably will) RS beats that at close to 150 million. i'm not saying 11m is bad (it's very impressive actually) but the only reason i play RS and not WoW is due to the fact that it's 15$ a month having RS being only 1/3 of that. truly, if i had alot more money, i'd play WoW. so overall, i personally think it's a great game, i just don't have the money to pay for it,so i'll just stick with RS for now,besides,i like it.

I actually stopped playing this week. Played a fury warr and it has become total shit. If im not lagging out like crazy im missing half of my attacks or dcing towards the end of a fight. i'm not gonna keep paying 30$ every other month for this terrible game play. it was fun while it lasted =)

My previous post is a perfect example on why most games chose to not have dedicated servers, especially if they are free to play after purchase. At release there are always issues that needs to be fixed. I can understand you are frustrating its not playable but at the same time you need really see the problem from blizzards perspective.
If you accually check the server cost of running WOW the first 3.5 years of realese, its around $200 million(!). That cost does not include the development of the game and at that time it was much less demanding to keep the servers running compaired to now, 11.5 million users(!!!). Im sure to maintain the server now got to be at least 4 times more expensive as before. With all visual upgrade of the game its more hardware cosuming, that cost money to upgrade aswell.
@CarlizWang Srsly. The amount of money every user pays for copies and playtime is far beyond the amount necessary to upgrade servers, and keep the organisation going. This company is not run by retards.

When cataclysm is released they will probably say there sub amount again.

@LuvTheLife4Ever Idiot. You've never encountered server lag? I run WoW at Ultra and constantly sit around 30ms or lower latency, and I still hit server lag, usually on Tuesday nights when the server's crowded. So yes, check your facts before you make yourself look like a retard.

the bandwitch is fucking reduced for each connection. No matter how good connectiong or computer you have, it lags when too many players in.
Also bad coding is possible.

@ProjectGreyX Trial accounts do NOT count as subs, Farmers and gold spammers are the same thing, If they want to farm they do it on there account. Trials are free, And thus are not counted into stuff like that. A small show i use to watch called mythbusters Had plenty of weird rumors going around "This guy is dead! this guy is dead!" and stuff like that. none were true, Somebodys probably trying to do that with WoW. Don't believe everything you see

@ProjectGreyX WoW is having some jumpy times. It is NOT losing subs however. Its gaining subs as normal but losing them just as fast Only theres something new here. about 10 thousand WoW players left and played a different MMO like Aion. However, most came back, With some new friends too. So they GAINED Subs from people mass leaving WoW for different MMOs. it is not losing subs. When cataclysm is released they will probably say there sub amount again.

coming from a former WoW player i gotta say its too limited and has no real sence of freedom idk why its even number1. there are so many better MMOs, Continent of the Ninth, Tera Online and even Vindictus, having no life because you play WoW is pathetic, having no life because you play a next gen graphic MMO which takes skill to play in stead of slammin buttons, theres little to no skill involved even in tactics its no fun shits to grindy and 80 levels of complete shit.
