There was one time here in the Philippines in a mass said by Redemptorist priests, I saw a child run all the way to the altar after the Host was consecrated. I'm not so sure, but I reckon that the Priest was preaching about the time when Jesus blessed the children. A very humbling experience.

Since 1969, Vatican ll has created a climate of "voluntary" usage of the Vulgate(the Language of the Nation or Community in which the Services are being celebrated; HENCE; a "Latin-Rite" Catholic Church may be conducted in Polish in Krakow, or in Russian in Kiev(Ukraine); but it does not change the celebration
