sweet! i just got the color game 15 system today. i just need the tv adaptor to play it. i dont have the power cord but when i tested it at my friends house,we ran it by batteries....
Am I colorblind?? My shoelaces were that color and that looks deep red to me. All my friends said my shoelaces were orange when they looked red.. what the hell.
I would love to play them all but the 15 looked extra good!
Im a older guy and my first system was the Sears Pong/Breakout from I think 76 or so,wish I still had it(I was the cool guy in the neighborhood that Christmas)LOL!
@SuperDave341 the NES was capable of fake 3D, the SNES was capable of 3D. N64 was a 3D system but also had a few non 3D games.
Rad racer had a 3D mode if you will if you had the glasses to see it properly.
now if your talking about GFX ability like Bilinear filtering, Anti-aliasing, Z-buffering, Mip-mapping, Trilinear mip-map interpolation, Perspective-correct texture mapping and things like that then yes the N64 was the first for Nintendo.
@Gamester81 If you want to get technical you could say the 32x was the first 3d console to use cartridges. A lot of it's best games were rendering full 3d polygons.
vectrex sort of used wire frame 3D..there were 3D spectrum and commodore64 games too..the snes put an extra chip into some cartridges and the mega c.d and 32x had 3D polygons too..Do ya mean free roaming 3D??ruined it for me when everything went 3D with the n64 and psx..for a long time it seemed like 2D games were dead until the fairly recent retro revival...
omg! you got very nice stuff! i just started collecting pongs. so far i have binatone, rft, gamatic, magnavox 300, soundic and gotchi (dunno what that is...). very nice items you have there once more
where do you have to plug in the japanese rf switch ito american TVs for them to work and to be playable, do the ac adapters plug into american electric outlets, I need to know
You actually need to buy an RF adapter (can find on ebay really cheap or probably Radioshack). Screw it in the back of the TV where the cable goes into and then plug the cord into that. The Japanese AC adapters will work in North America without any adapters.
I want one, but my dad says I cant because he saw one on ebay and the RF switch is japanese, not american, and he said you had to cut cords, and rewire, and he said just walk away from it, I want one badly though.
Thanks for sharing those pongs with us. As a vintage video game console collector, I also am interested in pongs and actually placed a bid on a Nintendo pong Game 6 (but didn't win it unfortunately). It is good to see someone that has managed to get a hold of one. I really like the idea of doing reviews of older units and was thinking of doing this myself. Now I am going to seem like a copy cat I suppose. :p BTW, you have a new subscriber. :)
Nice to see the Color TV Games again. Those are great. When you play those, do you use any kind of step down converter, or do you just plug them into the wall and play?
Sorry, I just remembered these run on batteries, too. Also, Nintendo's first attempt at the video game market was actually from their Color TV-Game Block Kuzushi console. Which is like a Breakout/Arkanoid clone.
Awesome.. these consoles are the Jp Grand Daddies of video game consoles! That Game 15 looks sexy.. Will you please do some gameplay vid of it? Many thanks!
Yah I'll be sure to show some gameplay. I'm still having issues trying to capture my video game footage w/o just filming the TV screen. Once I figure it out, I'll start showing more gameplay videos. Thanks
Cool video. It's good to see the really old stuff.
Do you find those machines suffer much from video signal drift? I have two Binatone pong machines, a MK 6 and a MK 10, and none of my TVs can hold onto the signal, as it drifts all over the place after the consoles have been on for a few minutes.
Oh yeah, Toshiba did make another foray into the gaming market, though not with a console. They produced the HX-10 MSX computer, which was a bare bones machine, really just for games.
Never knew that abut the TV Game 6 or 15. Really amazing stuff. if you have any Japanese questions I'll try to give you a hand lol. but I think that it's already bee answered about the reset button lol. Great vid man.

@gameboy3800

@ecwboy12345 Technically the SNES could do 3D as well with Starfox & such, and that came out before the jaguar.

So you say that didn't even say Nintendo, except the adapter. I didn't see Nintendo spelt in katakana either.

Actually the Japanese RF will work on the North American TV's. You just have to use a different channel. No cutting cords or anything like that.
