Wow! You gotta be kidding! It's been 8 years since i picked up a guitar and i still can't play like that! But then I can't say that i've been playing for 8 years cuz initially i wasn't consistent at all. Just wondering what do you think of Buckethead and Petrucci (Dream Theater) (my faves)? Would you be able to cover any of their songs? I can cover Buckethead's Soothsayer intro and the main part and Dream Theater's Pull Me Under intro and the main part, but i'm not going near their solos!

i normally dont like it when people cover songs and twist them around, but let me tell you - Jimi Hendrix is definitely smiling in his grave right now. Tha was the absolute greatest cover - no, remake of purple haze i have ever heard. I play guitar too, and now i see what i need to do to be awesome. I need to take a great song, make it cool, and rock out hard. Excellent job, this was really good.

Nice!!!This guys in the right space as far as improvisation goes and getting close to the fire hendrix had in his music.

It's only shortcoming, in sound, however, may be in over-improvising or focusing too much on the aspect of improvising. That's quite uinderstandable though.

As for Hendrix, I personally believe his greatest talents were song-writing and exploration, so I love when people cover Hendrix songs and change them in unique ways. Well done! :-)

pretty original actually, but he has the same tone as YJM, which I think is a good thing. I think that high output humbuckers sound like crap for shred, low output HB's and single coils sound more 'alive'.
