  • Hey - great playing!  What kind of pick up are you using in the neck position? It sounds great.

  • D Dorian is simply a C Major scale that starts from the second note. Anything in the C harmonized scale will work in theory. C ionian (major) D dorian E Phrygian, F Lydian G mixolydian, A aeolian (natural minor) B Locrian. All the same notes.

  • So do Minor Arpeggios and Chords work with the Dorian Mode? For example, based on note formation, what goes with D Dorian? I play a whole step down, so, I've been told, it's the same as E Dorian in standard Tuning. I don't need chord names, just how to tell by note name.
