I was never labeled as emo, but combined with being victimized on multiple occasions, family issues, a stalker, an unfriendly church, descending grades, and many 'friends' leaving my side, I was pretty dark. Of course, I've been saved by Christ's grace, and I'm a survivor of hard times, but I view this song as means of those who survived being victimized that need encouragment to do the right thing and put their abusers in prison :) also, I listen to this when I'm worried about someone.

@mariahalyssemith Emo is short for "emotional", and refers to someone who is emotionally unstable... there is what seems to be a high correlation with gothic people and emo people, but there is a difference... you don't have to be dressed in black to be emo... and you can be gothic and not have some of the "cutting" tendencies of "the emos" thats emo... its not a style of music

It doesnt mean liking dark colors or the dark in general, Thats GOTH
