My Specialized Big Hit 1 FSR (2007) have a marzocchi with 160 mm of course. Its good for national dh or urban dh.

It depends on your riding type and what you are going to use the bike for. The Demo 8 would be more ideal for Downhill Racing whereas the Demo 7 would be more ideal for Freeride and North Shore type riding. This is based on the amount of travel, wether the bike has a Single or Dual Crown fork, aswell as a number of other factors.
