One of the things I miss about living in England is the rugby. I used to take my son to see Wasps when they played at Repton Ave in Sudbury years ago.
@aaarrrggghhhh:Why did they move from Sudury?My dad used to tell me that we used to drive past Sudbury and that was where Wasp's ground was. I didn't believe him. I wish Wasps would come back to London :(
Rugby was an amateur sport then and the facilities at Repton Ave weren't good enough as they entered the professional era. It was a lovely little club though. I remember arriving early and watching Rob Andrews practise kicking and then a B team game too. It was a very friendly atmosphere and strangers used to chat to you. I'm back in England now and am hoping to catch up with all the latest at The WASPS.
@aaarrrggghhhh: Thanks for that.......Sounds like real halcyon days. Just recently went to the middx 7s tourny at twicekrs and have never felt so chilled in a crowd - (though the alcohol could've had something to do with that,lol)
I so hope Wasps will come back to north or west london one day. Maybe even gazump Sarries for the new Copthall stadium :D
