I recently applied at a VA Hospital for my medical benefits. I was told i didn't qualify because i make to much money. I joined in 1974 as the Vietnam war was winding down. However i went in knowing i may have to take lives or loose my own. I am so pissed at our government for lying to me. Never was i told that i would not qualify for my VA benefits when i might be making to much money in the future. This country has gone to pot. Those lying Bastards.

@THELDSLIFE - There's 195 countries on planet earth and I've visited 50. It is not a choice between the US and one that is having a civil war. Travel and you will be amazed how many wonderful countries there are. You can not compare shopping on Boulvard Des Chanselise followed by French cuisine to a day at the mall and Macdonald's or the Opéra de Paris to a multiplex cinema. Not to mention a quarter of the murder rate and free health care across Europe. As I say the US ok but not special.

Some of my most favored places include the "Andes Mountains."

I didn't think mountain goats REALLY did stand along side those cliffs like that until I was in Ecuador... hahahahaha...

As the British tried to come form the south one brave commander stood his ground as the British charges; he did not fear them but wanted to shoe them the might to show them America's might. America showed no fear in any wars but how will minded we were on wining. The reason the Soviets never attacked us is because they couldn't even supply an army of 100,000 soldiers in Afghan as we assembled 500,000 troops in a draft and fed them in Korea and Vietnam. America was so rich in economics.

I agree with MrAquafan. If people don't think and learn the history America put into this world in just under 250 years; Well I'll be deep hearten about this. I love history and studying different Empires, Countries, City-States. Think of this; When America broke away from the British in 1776 They were the strongest military power in the world as we were "Untrained" soldiers that new nothing about fighting. When the French-Indian war ended we learned a new type of fighting.

Very much so. Funny that the foundation of America was to escape religious tyranny and to have religious freedom. This was "One Nation, indivisible" until the 1950's. I'm sure the founding fathers by their writings would be ashamed at the current state of America and how much religion has creeped it's way into government.

Agreeably, religions have a way to fight and bicker amongst themselves... but if you suggest that the Muslim religion has creeped into government, since it is also a religion, then I'm 100% behind you on that.

Oh but it has, and other religions as well. When we begin to make concessions to religions, such as the "Faith based initiatives" like bush did, that is in direct violation of the separation of church and state. The only way to maintain order is to keep religion out of government completely and maintain a secular government. The day our government starts making laws in favor of one religion over another is the day I pack up my family and leave.

Actually I like Obama and he isn't Muslim. He's actually said multiple times that we need to make sound decisions not based upon our individual religious beliefs, but on what's best for the whole society. This is something that President Bush did not follow. Still there are those in congress who just don't get how important it is.

I almost went for the traditional version of the song but I decided to use this one mostly because my message was for kids and families. I want my kids to grow up loving America. The classic song is probably the best version ever but it would just seem like a guy our age singing it TO the rest of us. I wanted to show that the rising generation has the potential to love America as well.

In Deut. 14:2, 26:19, God is speaking to His people. All true believers are Jews (Rom. 2:29). The Jews are God's chosen people. Because of the choices of this government, the U.S. is going downhill. I don't see how this is an "LDS" thing.

I think I shared one Book of Mormon passage at the end but that's really about all. The point of this video was to share with others my love for my country and not spawn mindless debates over whether Mormon's are trying to take over the country. Whether anyone wants a theocracy or not, that isn't something we can avoid. During the Millennium, Christ is said to reign personally on the earth.

We as latter-day saints welcome and prepare the way for Jesus.

The over-laying message here was to

God will have a people that loves him. He has given us this land and if we are not mindful of that, we could be swept off the Land. The point of this video was to awaken the mind of each American who lives here that it wouldn't take much for us to LOSE all that we have. Truly, God has blessed people of All nations. I did not draw the same conclusions as you did. This message isn't a selfish one but a warning to its inhabitants that its founding has God in it.

You misunderstand anyway. This land IS sacred, and it is independently sacred despite what government or people are in place. When the people are wicked, they are swept off the face of this land by decree of God. That's the way it is.

I did this video, in part, to honor your work. I do not speculate on the reasons for 911... it was a blow to the American people, never the less. I felt just as Jon McNaughton did when he created his painting.
