@MrRedpinapple I usually alternate pick up (from low to high) and then sweep back down (high to low). I like the sound a little bit more and it's a tad bit easier to play. I don't have a cover up yet but hopefully I'll get one up in a few weeks or so

Right, to clarify, a good program to change the pitch of songs in is Audacity, I don't know what this guy used, but it's what I used, and it's a reliable bit of freeware, google it!

It sounds higher because he is playing in standard tuning when the song is normally played in Eb or dropped Eb. He is probably playing in E other than the intended tuning because of his locking system on the tremolo. That would be a bitch to mess around with for one song.

Gotta work on your arpeggio shapes a bit. Probably could use a bit of rehearsing too. Also, during the section @ 2:15 you should play in a higher position. You don't wanna be using the open strings.

All in all, well done, but I recommend you rehearse, retune, cut back on the distortion a bit and post another one.
