Jesus said: "call no man 'father', for you have one Father who is in Heaven".
The pope is referred to as the 'sole representative of Christ on earth'. Even "Christ on earth'. That is somewhere between egotistical & outright blasphemy, made worse by his example.
Blasphemy = taking to yourself the name, attributes, or powers belonging to God.
The attitude & what it enables is horrible - history is proof of this.

thats exactly what i am saying ..... the catholic church also change the scriptures ... another blasphemy of God.... it would not mean shit to me if i cut the pope's throat... i would leave that to God.... his wrath will pour on him on the day of Judgment

The Pope does not say that he is Christ on Earth, he is His Vicar (representative) on Earth, hence his infallibility when he speaks ex cathedra (from the Chair) i.e. when he decrees teaching or doctrine. Christ gave the power to bind and loose to St Peter (the first Pope) and his successors (the Popes). I.e. He said to Simon Peter "Thou art Peter (Petrus, Petros/Petra, Kephas) and on this Rock (Peter - Petrus- Petra -Kepha (Aramaic) = Rock) I will build my Church etc.

The demon from hell, Escriva, called him that - as well as Catherine of Siena & others. Vicar = to stand in the place of. To take upon onself the powers & attributes of God is blasphemy.
"Infallibility" is BS. NO mortal is infallible.
Christ alone is the ROCK.
Christ also said to Peter: "get behind me, Satan!", and rebuked him many times. The Pope has & never had any such powers as you suggest. Infallibility is a man-made lie.
History is proof alone......
