Maybe I'm missing something here, but Tiger pretty much had 4 of the biggest shots in PGA history in the US Open, yet none of them appear on this video. I'm assuming it's because it's not PGA co-sponsored, but still surprised none of them appear in this video (or maybe they just deserve their own video).

In a major championship on the 71st hole, hitting your second shot, over 270 yards, on a par 5 with a swirling left to right wind and long gorse and rough. Large pot bunkers, protecting the green and a large almost double green with huge breaks. He had a 2 shot lead and if that shot hadn't of been perfect he could have been walking of that green with a double bogey or more. I call that pressure!

No, it was his second shot to a par 5, he could have hit a poor shot and still had a chance for birdie.

I did say it was his second shot, and if he had hit a poor shot the wind would have taken it giving him a plugged lie in a pot bunker or deep in high rough. Even with his skills I doubt he would have been able to get up and down considering the pin position.

No, you cannot say for sure where it would have gone. It would have gone somewhere around the green. Aslong as it didn't give him a dreadful lie he would have had a good chance of a birdie, and at worst he would make par.

Well what i was saying, that if it was a poor shot, then surely with the gusting left to right breeze, it would have taken the ball right. To the right of the green there was thick rough. To get out of that stuff and get it on the small second tier would be miraculous. Many tour pros 3 putted that green. I think it was the best shot of the year due to the precision, diffuculty and pressure. If you don't agree then fine. But you have to agree that it was a fantastic shot.

No, there was a breeze, but it still could have missed anywhere around that green. Pros expect to get up and down from the around the greens, unless given an awful lie. But we cant know whether that would have happened or not. It was a good shot, but certainly not the best of the year. Besides, I don't believe he intended to go straight at that flag, I think he wanted to hit in the middle of the green. Thats just my opinion.

Thats fine, however, the risk i think of him having a bad lie was very high. That was what i was trying to get across. He most certainly didn't aim for the flag, for instance Hogan said he almost never aimed at the flag in a major. Pros should expect to get up and down, however, it was quite a hard pin placement just by the slope. It all depends on where he would have missed the shot though.

No, a half decent shot and he would have ended up okay. A bad shot any he may had a bad lie. There are certaiinly more pressurized moments in golf. Also, he didn't aim for the flag like you said, thats kind of my point. It really wasn't that precise, as it wasn't what he intended to do. He wanted to hit it middle of the green, it got some nice kicks and ended up stone dead. Thats not best of shot of the year for me.

'It wasn't really precise,' it was from 272 yards away and he managed to hit the green, considering the strong wind, I think that it was very impressive. More pressure!! He had a slight lead on the 71st hole of a major championship, if he hadn't of made good contact or the direction was not there, I would dread to think what could of happened.

I was there when Sergio hit this shot. The entire Stadium erupted! It's one of the best shots I've ever seen in person, on a great hole too.
