  • Epic theme ,epic game, epic memories.

  • MEMORIES <333

  • Amazing, the way the memories come rushing back. Almost happy enough to cry.

  • Ah the wonderful memorys/nostalgia.

  • This game reminds me of my childhood, it took me from the real world to a world of adventure excitement, curiosity and friendship...that I didn't have in my real life, to be young forever.

  • Este opening es muy belloooo *_* no olvidaré este juego T_T y sus hermosas melodías.... ♥♥♥ Gracias por subir el video de inicio!!

  • Spettacolare!

  • this song has stuck with me for years

  • This probably has to be the only rpg game's intro i've ever actually enjoyed because I get to whistle along with the song. Everything else just isn't the same.

  • I don't think I've ever passed up a chance to listed to this.

  • ZUN totally stole this song to make Gensokyo Millennium: History of the Moon.

  • Must resist whistling this music, I must.

I was amazed when I heard this due to many JRPG's being so cliche and still being cliche. Hering such a western theme in a JRPG was a shock and a good one at that.

    Beautiful music.

  • this was the best 2 was great as well after that the games got worse with al part they made even so much the psp version is just garbage 1 of the worst games I ever tried

  • this is the only game where I actually sat through the intro EVERY time I played it.

  • This Intro is a classic!!! It left a good impression on me after all these years.

  • can't hear this song enough

  • epic

  • I love how all the wild arms have a whistle in their music.

  • I may be the first person in history to die of a nostalgia overdose...

  • This intro was my fucking pre-game ritual whenever I play Wild ARMS.

I'd fire up the PS, pop the disc in and let the intro play completely before I allow myself to continue from where I last saved.

    Skipping the intro was BLASPHEMY.

  • @MegaBondagemon So True ;)

  • @MegaBondagemon

    Exact same ritual for me.

  • @MegaBondagemon muah! so true - Zed or the Hunter would have cut you down

  • @MegaBondagemon

i also did that to lunar one, but the sequels to both games didnt have that great of an opening not like this and lunar one.

  • This is a Wild west themed game, right?

    I see no hats.

    Where are the classic hats?

  • @mager56723 Actually...it's more like Western Medieval-Fantasy Sci-Fi themed game. I seem to recall some hats surviving as equipment (nice "helmet" you got there, Jack) and on NPCs though.

  • i search for these kind of soundracks they are awesome. anyone knows tell me and thanx. great game. playstation one memories

  • Everytime I turn on this game, I sit there and listen to this intro. Its just pure perfection.

  • one of the greatest opening songs period

  • BEST SONG EVER

  • Remember when games were good?

    Yes, I do.

  • I cry every time.

  • 5 people have no thumbs, and cant hold a pad. I weep for you.

  • When I play this game at my first time,I restart da PSX 30 times or more for listen and listen that jewel...

  • I may have to say this opening is one of my most fondest and I still whistle the song all tyhese yars later. The game was really good BTW.

  • One of the Greatest RPGs ever <3

  • Thumbs up if you whistled along with the song ! XD

  • @SamAngelDrake Does it count if i tried and failed at it?

  • Comment removed

  • lol yup

  • @SamAngelDrake I can't whistle :(...

  • @SamAngelDrake I've not only done that back in the day, I still whistle along ;D

This has to be the most epic Intro to a game EVER! Whoever dared to skip it even once has no soul.

  • @SamAngelDrake lol read this and thought I wouldn't because of it.. then started whistling when it began =p

  • This is, without a doubt, #1 on my console RPGs chart. Next is probably Secret of Mana.

  • I bought this game and final fantasy 7 shortly after they came out, and I must say that Wild Arms is my favorite game, then comes FF7, Sonic the hedghog, and few others! I still have all these games too, and Wild arms 1 was most deffinetely the best of the series! Playing the remake for Playstation 2 atm. Many thx for the upload! Rudy Roughknight for life! Banzai RUDY! FOR THE WOOT!!

  • and to think at first i didn't like this game

  • that was such a good game....I miss it ..

  • First Game I ever owned on the Playstation.. All time favorite for sure...

  • im the guy in the video im strong and im beautiful everyone wants to be like me but they can't because im the only one who has such .......

  • 0:21 ......er only noticed now but why the feck would you bury someone on a over hang !!!! your asking for trouble

  • @filcom101 Possible he fell over the cliff.... body eaten by ravenous wolfs... it's just where he died at... you see the same things off the cliffs of mountains... not where the body is.

  • @KilllerX ....you learn something new every day !

  • Way better than Alter Code F's opening animation.

  • I love this game and this intro! The best intro music ever! Love it ^-^

  • I love you Rudy :'(

  • @sblug2 Nothing touched the old RPGs. The music, characters and gameplay was top notch! RPGs now all suck. For the most part that is.

  • my first ps game. i loved the puzzles, made the game seem so fresh and engaging.

  • there are very few game intros that are even close to this one.

epic shit still to this day

  • honestly suikoden, rhapsody, chrono cross and wild arms just beat all the final fantasy series!!!

  • i miss this game... i never beat this game even when our house was burnt down into ashes i never finished this game...

  • Comment removed

  • Trying so hard to find a copy of this game locally, may have to buy a ps3 just to play it, never shoulda let my friend borrow it

  • is that Ken Master's father?

  • one of the few rpgs that on par with the best final fantasies

  • FUCKIN GameStop DONT SELL PS1 GAMES ANYMORE! GOSH I WANT THIS GAME SO FUCKIN MUCH INCLUDING Brave Fencer Musashi AND Alundra. BEST FUCKIN RPGs EVER AND U CANT FIND THEM ANYMORE!

  • @liloblindboi just buy a psp or ps3 and get the digital version. Alundra and Wild arms 1 and 2 is on the US one i think.

(if you do not have a ps3 or psp I recommend getting an american psp, it has more games on psn and can play pal games all while still being in english)

  • @liloblindboi

Ebay, Amazon...many ways to find them.

  • First RPG in My psx

  • hey this music is on WA 2!

  • @sblug2 you're not the only one who thinks so mate ;)

  • que el silbido de esta cancion me lleve a los tiempos en los que una espada o un arma hacian la diferencia....

  • Hey? Does anybody remember the "How to get 255 berries" trick?

  • This song is heavily influenced by the Fistful of Dollars theme, still a great song tho...

  • I still to this day play this.

On the Playstation I got almost over a decade ago. =D

  • @PureBlackMetal

Same here! I don't mess with that emulator shit...Too risky. I played this game over this past summer on my PS2--which plays all my PS1 games, too.

Although, WA 1 is considered "old school" gaming...It's amazing how this game (and the Resident Evil series: 1, 2, &, 3) can still draw us into another world only to be interrupted by minor breaks (I.E., restroom breaks or getting a snack) LOL

  • Man I wish I had the chance to even get through the 3 opening on the characters, my parents made me give this game as a birthday gift with my old PS to my cousin, who pawned it

  • gotta get me a PS and this game again!

    :(

  • @UGoTDZeZ

Isn't that funny?! I mean, considering all the new "next gen" games out there for the Wii, PS3, Xbox; we still get excited about playing these "old school" games for the PS1, and N64.

  • @WAIATA4U sure is funny:)

i guess its alot of nostalgia. i dont know hy but ive always loved the old games. got a ps1 and a nes hooked up to my TV nothing else the Xbox is on a shelf until another anticipated game is released.

Wild arms and Gran turismo 3 beeing played almost daily.

  • @WAIATA4U They just don't know how to make good rpg's anymore. Gaming companies think were graphics junkies and don't care about story line or music.. They're so wrong.

  • @ceridan01

I hear ya' on that! I'll just throw this out there:

Since gaming companies are in the habit (and money spending) on revamping games for Wii, PS3, and Xbox; I would love to see WILD ARMS revamped for the new consoles. Keep the storyline (and the music, too), keep ALL the elements that made WILD ARMS a fantastic game...And, make it free-roaming. Maybe, even online, too.

Just throwing that idea out there.

  • this game has the best music out of every game i've played. simply amazing espessially for a playstation game

  • it was my first PS Game when i was 8 years old. My mom bought it for me because i liked the cover art lol. The Soundtrack makes my teary eyed everytime i listen to it... :( i live in luxembourg...i'm so pissed that alter code f never was released in the EU -.-"

  • @AngelusDubs lol ouch! Sorry bout that dude! I had that game for years until one of my siblings cracked the disc in two! I am going to amazon to get it once again!! ^^

  • @k910ou9i

i'm a girl lol xD oh. i dont know what i would do to someone who would crack my WA disc in two <___< i think this person would be dead |D ... well i could play alter code f if i find someone who can crack my PS2 ._. but i dunno who to ask. oh well D:

  • @AngelusDubs lol my bad im a girl too, i just call everyone dude. Just find yourself a nerd, geek, hacker and then BAM! ^^ they work wonderss!!

  • I still have this game on my old PSone :D and not so long ago I played in it. Now I'm playing Wild Arms 2

  • omglovethisgamemustfindoldpsandplaythisgamerightnowomg

  • reminds me of the song wanderer's poem from Disgaea 3

  • The main character looks like Orphen. From the game and the anime. Hopefully i find the game and play it. Looks great.

  • If only Alter Code F's opening kept the original animation and just prettied it up... Ah. I hate Alter Code's animation so much.

  • what a nostalgic memories. best game ever. wish i could play it again.....

    p.s. absolutely agree with probokator.

  • one was the absolute BEST

  • this is the best wild arms intro....

  • Love this game. Wow, I wish they go back to making games like this. XD

  • screw call of duty and all that ! this is what games are all about,I remember playing this when i were young :( how i wish i could go back and play it again :'(

  • @t0neeh Well I continue playing them to this day, haha.

But I totally understand what you mean. Nowadays, it's sad how there's idiots fighting over which console is better, instead of just enjoying the games, and how games nowadays are made for the sole purpose of making money, when back in the day, they were made with love and feel, like Wild Arms made us feel. Sad, really.

  • @t0neeh you can download this game on the psn network, for like 6.50 or around that price

  • @t0neeh you can! PsOne's, Ps2's and backward compatible ps3s are still available! And the game can be found for as little as 10 bucks!!!

  • @mugen613 all ps3s play PS1 games.

  • @t0neeh You can get it from PSN for 10 bucks

  • i still humm n whistle this song almost every day cuz i cant get it out of my head ;p

drives my boss insane but i dont give a damn ^^ love it <3

think m gonna grab mah psx out of my closet again ;p

  • Omg, I spent the longest time playing this game trying to beat it!!! It's like a big part of my childhood. And i love the theme... It's my ringtone lol

  • I played Wild Arms 3 and then this one, and I don't know which one I love more. I love the story, characters, and music - especially this piece - and I really wanna try the second game. This game alone is hell of a lot better than all the Final Fantasies that came out at that time.

  • @BlackWolf207 That is quite opinion-based. Both the series have their own style and charm, and whereas they both are RPGs, they still do not fit into the same type of RPG genre, so they cannot be compared really.

That said, I love Wild Arms just as much as Final Fantasy (the old ones anyway), and I don't take preferences. I just love them.

  • I wish this could be my ring tone! DAMN samsung reality!!! Effing phone won't let you use your own song for a ring tone!!!!

I love WILD ARMS!!!! its so original like ff7!

  • thank god i still kept my old copy :) im replaying this again

  • An amazing video, an even better song, and wonderfully nostalgic.

One of those openings you have to watch every time you switch on the game.

  • I honestly say this game would have made an awesome anime

  • Once upon a time, there was a great game called Wild Arms...

  • most brilliant game in the world.. final fantasy's got nothing on this game!

  • LOVED this game, while I was sick at home recovering, this game helped me, oh yeah, excellent rpg...

  • so many memories i feel nostalgic

  • paramore's misguided ghost sounded like this for some reason ... I miss this!

  • The very last time I heard this music again is when I search for a BGM for creating an RPG. but Sh*T I cannot copy this one. It makes me cry that last time I heard this

  • @sblug2 makes me nostalgia to the grate days of playing re3 and this game on a ps1 with screw on screen

  • I remember when I was little and I would play the demo of this game ALL the time. I love this song so much. Brings back good memories.

  • one of the first RPG's i ever played. saying that i just use to watch the intro over and over again lol

  • I loved this game so much... One of the best games I played when I was young... Tis a shame that none of my friends have heard of it.

  • Tis an amazing opening :D, and the tune is perfect :D

  • Great intro and Great Game...the sequels are worth playing also.

  • ahh man i love th fkng old times all was good

now all is a bad copy

  • have you ever seen the SECRET OPENING?

well... it's not really secret but i think you dont see however

    here: watch?v=cyIV9g2m5SQ

    cya

  • Seriously last time I played this game I was six and I still love this fucking opening!

  • @AivenSynyster How could someone not like this game. The Music is awesome and the main character looks like combination between Chrono and Bardock.

  • @AivenSynyster oldies never die cause now all the games are for graphics whores and people that dont care about storylines

  • @wakkanda agree

  • check out my vid response, i did this a long time agos lol

  • ... Now I want to go back and play this game. Too bad the remake sucked bad. It was basically a WA3 reskin of WA1.

  • If i recall, every time i played this game i could not start playing until at least one completion of the intro, sometimes just had to wait for disk to reset and start over or hit reset button. Song has alot of character, one of best intros in rpg intro history.

  • @wanema1 Strongly agreed. This is one of the most musical RPG pieces I've heard.

  • 1:25 "there's strong and then there's army strong!"

  • this is one of the greatest games, i swear it

  • i love this intro!!! wild arms is one of my fave games!!! ^_^ i've been looking everywere possible for this intro...i'm glad i finally found it. :D

  • hey i'm thinking in buy wild armes but im no sure if buy wild armos 1 or 2 , withch one is the best ?

  • well if it helps make up your 1 was remade on the PS2 as Alter Code F. I personally havent beaten it yet though

  • this be one of the funnest and right to the game intro's it fits the wild west theme and for the fact to make me sound like a nerd i can whisle this theme and the theme for number 2

  • I played this game... perhaps twice, ten years ago, after borrowing it from a friend, and I could still whistle that theme at the start - that's memorability! It really makes me want to find it, go back and actually play it now...

  • aaah this is what i was looking for, i love this song

    It's a really great whistling song :D

  • i had this theme as my ringtone since 2002, that's 8 years, i'll never change it, i'll tell my grand children how wonderful this game was when i was their age

  • hahaha i was scared of the song so i just pass hahahaha i love this game

  • How were you scared of this song? Rofl!

  • 1:15 my favorite part!!

    LOL!!!

  • i use to trad ethis game up for one of my games lol i never understand english at that time and playing this game was amistery cuz i never get to the point but it bring memory that for sure i only remember the theme song.

  • Tear, in my eyes.... God. Feel like yesterday I still playing this game. What a memorable song. God, now I have grown so much. Live is just to short. And time move too fast.

  • I feel everything that your saying....I was in Middle school when i got this game.....Me and my brother had just got out of class my father knew nothing about what games really were and he was like here i bought yall this as a surprise, so memorable because its one of the only times my father ever did somethin like that, not takin away everything great my father has done for me, but he wouldnt do that. And it just so happens to be "Wild ARms" Loved it, Love it now. Downloaded EMulator and Rom!

  • Wow, I also just bought wild arm because I had nothing to play after finished FF7. Turn out wild arm is more memorable than FF7 for me. Maybe coz the songs... :)

  • @probokator lol,i WAS playing this yesterday. akward.

  • @Circuit Did you replay it or play it for the first time? The story is good, the gameplay is good, and the songs is superb. But if you already tasted the graphic in PS2 or PS3. What do you call it? It hard to enjoy graphic in PS1.

  • @probokator

Not really, graphics are not important as fun is a game :)

i have a ps3, a ps2 and a 360 but I still can enjoy gems of PSX as lunar, suikoden, grandia or wild arms :)

I can enjoy a hot dog even after eat on Cordon Bleu :)

  • @probokator heh yea my old disk is well old and skips a bit from god knows how many hours of play. So I downloaded it on PS3. I love it.

  • @probokator I feel the same brother

  • @letalis777 Tq

  • @probokator You ruined that comment with the misspelling of Life. Fuck you.

  • @Lrdvltr Oooh, welll forgive me. I'm asian. Yes I know. My english suck.

  • @probokator so true

  • @probokator I feel you bro :)

  • @xocoouurd From avatar? Right? :)

  • I was watching the clint eastwood westerns today and i swear to god the music in them inspired music in this game. Especially the intro song to Fist Full of Dollars. The similarity is striking.

  • I've been watching all the WA games get played through again.

It's pretty win. I love the atmosphere these games have. The pseudo-Western feel really gives it a unique flair, and in the first and third games at least, the Western twists to the soundtrack really makes them memorable.

  • ahhhh the memories damn....

  • I hummed this tune for year when Iwas a kid and out of the blue today I started humming it again:)

  • i miss this game... i used 2 love it alot!

    but i lost mine... (boohoo...)

  • If you have PS3, you can buy it and download it from Playstation network store for just $5. I just bought it a couple of days ago.

  • Awesome <3

  • missing old days T_T :'(
