Cool video, pity the outcome was not accurate... the game has inaccurate acceleration for most cars. An RS4 very seldomly can better a 13 dead for the 1/4 at about 108-109mph.... m3 runs a 12.5-12.7 at 112-114mph, an M5 should run no slower than a 12.5 @ 117mph-119mph.... so its very unlikely for an RS4 to ever win a 1/2 mile drag against either... unless its in the rain

@BI2016 but the computer controls the cars. it can't do too good or too bad. In the case of the rs4 it probably had to with the very little time it too to launch and shift. While the other cars had less of start. In the case with the m3, it took some time to shift, telling by the up-down movement.

Okay the results shows, the RS4 have the quickest launch due to 4WD, M5 is faster than M3 which it should have, XKR-S is under power (which is now solved), CTS-V must have horrific wheel spin and the IS-F doesn't really go at all

i just started racing with a manual (no clutch) last week.

drag and speedway racing don't really require down shifting so it's kind of easy. you'll get used to it after a while.

@grenader16 it's true. it's only a concept but vw have designed a 4 door bugatti named the galibier. it use's the same 8.0 W16 as the veyron but instead of having four turbo chargers, it use's 2 superchargers.

Nice game, but you shift way to early or is it automatic? Try to do it manually and you will get a far better acceleration when going into the red RPM area

See here. Forza3 is very wrong in some cases. ISF has higher PI than M3, while Top Gear clearly pointed out M3 is faster. Same story with 370z and Evora; evora's faster btw for those who're stupid. There are other problems as well.

Or is it only like that I choose my own car and other cars are chosen by random? Is there any way to choose opponents in free race?

Yes, the M3 was the quickest out of the three around the track which top gear put them on but Drag Racing is full throttle starts meaning an M5 wouldn't get as much traction as the RS4 does due to the wheels spinning on the M5 with all it's 500bhp. Rear Wheels drive cars tend to be faster through corners seeing as there is no understeer but slower off the start w/o TCS.

naaa mate the m5 should have won that easy because as i said the rs4 lost against the m3 and the c63 in a drag race as u sed the 4wd quattro does help for the first few meters but then the power of the m5 would kick in and ruin them both compare the stats

BMW M5: Top Speed= 204 0-60 MPH= 4.7 (2009)

AUDI RS4: Top Speed= 182 MPH 0-60 MPH= 4.6

so its 0.6 seconds faster to 60 but that would matter when the BMWs release the full 507BHP compared to the shitty 420 BHP. rs4 rival is m3 m5 is the rs6

I'm not sure what you mean by simulation variables , but the AI in drag races aren't good. Infact they're rubbish , they sometime let of gas in the middle of a drag race , the starts are poor and not correct.
