  • The best way to connect a Blu-ray Disc player with a 1080p Full HD TV is with high speed HDMI cable also known as HDMI 1.4 cable. You really don't need an expensive cable. Just buy a reasonably priced cable and your good to go. Also i really lobe Blu-ray Disc players. I own 2 PS3 Slim's 120GB HDD and Pioneer Blu ray Disc players model BDP 430 and BDP-LX55. I just LOVE BLU RAY !!!

  • Wow! you look like Curly from the 3 Stooges. I like the 3 Stooges. : )

  • I love the outtakes at the end ! Very clever !

  • I am wanting to buy this but I use a Panasonic camcorder which records in AVCHD and files are I.MTS and what I read is this machine will not play them, can anyone confirm this?

People keep saying just use VLC player but does this machine come with vlc player built in.

    Thanks

  • How much better is this than the Playstation 3?

  • can you record on this?

  • I got the new bd 570

  • Does anyone kno how to hook these up to the internet i hooked it yp with an ethernet cable from my router to the blu ray then wat?? all it did was update so u thought it worked then nothing happened?HELP!

  • Does anyone have this player yet? How is it?

  • LOL! And Newegg doesn't have any in stock until Feb 2010.

  • DLNA?

  • how much does it cost?

  • $168 in Canada!!!!

  • can the LG BD390 play standard dvds with the updates? ive heard of problems of not being able to play dvds.

  • I thought this player could also stream video over a home network without having to use a USB drive plugged straight in?

  • LG BD390 this Blu-ray player can NTFS, MKV files over USB port. Buy and have fun with them. Very Good Blu-ray player! 5 Stars

  • Nice review. Trying to make up my mind which blu-ray player to buy and this was very helpful. I like how you opened the box for a thorough walk-thru. Thanks.

  • Would like to have seen more of what the quality is like when streaming from Netflix.

  • 2:01: bad cam focus bro!

  • can this play MKV files ??? from network ... ???

can read USB format NTFS ???

can open YouTube HD files from the site like &fmt=22 and &fmt=37 (1080p) ???

    More details

  • did you say 4 gig internal memory? whats that for?

  • just one gigabyte of system memory (i think RAM) helps with load times.

  • he said 1gb

  • No HDMI cable included? WTF LG?! Here is a suggestion LG: Pair with Monoprice they will supply you with cheap HDMI cable so we, consumers don't have to buy what had to be in a box in the first place.

  • 1. Can it stream mediafiles from a Nas e.g Netgear Readynas or Qnap 209?( In particular MKV-files)

    2. Can it play ISO/IMG files?

  • Excellent player. Plays video over your home network, can play HD MKV files and HD DivX.

Does not handle VOB directories, but can play individual VOB files.

  • First off, who shot this awful video ? The audio really sucks. Plus the shot of the player from behind is blurry and no attempts were made to fix it. Newegg is such a great company , i cant believe they would allow a piece of crap like this to represent them.

  • any decent internet radio players yet? or are we stuck with the "squeeze-my-wallet box"?

  • If you are referring to the Logitech Squeezebox Boom, it's a very decent internet radio. If you're too cheap to shell out $250 bucks for a pretty impressive piece of technology, then that's your problem, not the Squeezebox Boom's.

  • could someone check and see if the player plays the Sita Sings the Blues AVCHD disk posted (as a torrent) on the film's official website? the PS3 and the Panasonic players can, i'd just like to have more players to add to the list.

  • Great review looking forward to see more! SUBSCRIBED!!!! Newegg FTW!!!

  • OMG it plays MKV. files

    So gonna get this

  • can it play off NAS or an external?

  • you should have used a capture card good video player btw

  • So how's the player handle encrypted wireless streams. Is 802.11G suitable?

  • The player can handle several different wireless encryption standards; we weren't able to test them all but the commonly-used WEP, WPA and WPA2 versions are supported with various configurations. 802.11G is suitable for most streaming, but if you're planning to do a lot of high-def (1080) content you'll probably want 802.11N.

  • i want one!!

  • o yea

  • FOCUS!

  • Another amazing feature is that it blends in with the green screen. I want it, my PS3 can't do that!

  • hehe

  • Looks very nice!

  • Can it connect to your home network and play shared video files? That would be nice.

  • Focus much?

  • Unfortunately, close-ups and the ability to manually focus aren't the strong points of the Flip HD's that we're currently using to film. We're getting a better camera to film with soon that should let us do nice, crisp close-ups.

  • Good to know about the Flip. I was contemplating getting one, maybe I'll keep looking!

  • We've actually been really impressed with the image quality we've gotten from the Flips, and they're extremely portable -- ideal for run-n-gun shooting and taking on location. For the product reviews though, we'll be using a camera that can shoot more detailed close-ups.

  • should just get a PS3 its waaaayyy better than this sucka.

  • Yeah, or a nice ION HTPC.

  • Can you stream movie from your computer to LG BD390 Network. like the ps3

  • I need to get this for my dad.

  • I missed the price.. you might have said it, but Idk

  • Not sure if you got it or not but it's $299.95 was $379.95.Just in case you missed it

  • Nice review! I want one. =)
