The Beatles did do something significant. First they were the first UK act to have constant success in America. Think of how much fucking money they have brought into our economy over the years with just their music alone, add to that the fact that people come from all over the world to see Liverpool and London because of The Beatles. That aside, they have made as great or even greater contribution to art than Beethoven, Leonardo Davinchi, Charlie Chaplin etc.
