Do a video on the propane conversion, that sounds like a great idea. You can have a remote tank without a fuel pump with propane since it is under pressure. I guess you'll just need a regulator to control the pressure of the fuel going into your engine. Here in the USA, propane is more expensive than gasoline. The propane delivery trucks use propane since they buy it wholesale. Good luck with your conversion.
I knew they had to be quite a bit less in Thailand. I imagine the shipping and import taxes are horrendous though. They can be purchased here on EBAY, that is where the price I quoted, in the previous comment, came from. I like the concept, it's simple and very efficient. I'm surprised that some American manufacturer hasn't jumped on the design and started manufacturing these kits. They're simple and inexpensive to build with proper manufacturing equipment. @MudBuddyHarrison Right mudbuddy, it seems that now the American way is to redesign with the idea to improve an already great design so they can charge a fortune while advertising it as a superior product when it isn’t. Then when they realize it isn’t an efficient design they stick a bigger engine on it and charge even more. You couldn’t sell a western longtail unit here, they need performance and economy. Can’t wait until I change over to LP and gasoline that will be sweet.
Sean, another great video, these kits are expensive here in the USA. They start at $400.00 + shipping for the 5-6.5 HP. I wish I could get a kit for what you pay in Thailand, then I could buy one. Lol
@MudBuddyHarrison I suggest you apply the saving to an air ticket and take the parts home in your luggage. People have done this and I recommend cutting up the tail into three sections and welding it back together back home... $150. US dollars.
