  • Puppypuncher07: very nice language here. FYI nothing I build is fake, but your education may be fake...

  • Yes it was ;). Nowadays head tracking is moving fwd (GT5 on the Playstation 3 will do it using the eyecam.

  • very cool! must've been pretty fun to play with :)

  • OMG!nice!

  • tht is madd gunna

  • LOL welcome to the matrix neo hahahahah

  • that is knda cool. Do you have to keep your body still for it to work properly and stay calabrated?

  • XD that is getto head tracking XD

  • He actually has a Matrix hole in the back of his head in which he plugs the anologue stick directly into.

  • Look hes plugged up into the Matrix

  • sick.

  • thats the most best simple mod I ever seen here

  • ok that is cool

  • I love u man...im doin this shit sometime soon

  • Man, that musta been sum hard work!

Personally i think that when he turns his head to hover the cam left to right, it moves far too fast, needs to be more smooth i guess. But great mod! well done!

  • Thats cool... cheaper than the wiimote with IR leds too. I like it.

  • gay music awesome mod though...

  • Yes, I changed it now, the soundtrack sucked ;)

  • If you hooked up the PS2 to some Video glasses instead of your TV you'd pretty much get the VR experience, well at least it seems like you would.

  • that was awesome i was actually trying to make something like that, not that smart tho but something simpler, i was trying to connect my head to a joystick for a plane game and yea....

  • It bugs me to no end why there arent any flying games out there at all, like wing commander, or crimson skies anymore. It's all simulators. I can't wait for them to come out with a game like battle star gallactica or other.

  • OMFG I WANT THAT !!!! NOW !!!! : O

  • lol that's hillarious

  • HAHHAHA wow that's a lot of work and a pretty combination of simple/complicated method, wii head tracking is a lot better and promising, but it's still nice hehe

  • That's like the matrix man! awesome.

  • nice job, but the song sucks

  • Very neat, if cumbersome. Might look even better if you had the aspect ratio correct on the telly.

  • Check the headtracking on the wii, thats even better:O

This is pretty coowl 2, probs for the maker^^

  • meh, nice work and all but the whole system seems arkward and unnessicary, you should checkout the wiimote version if you havent already

  • Cool vid, but why put a shitty song like "umbrella" on the backround? I sux. Nicely generated headtracking tough.

  • Yep, I changed it now ;))

  • head tracking looks better with the wii

    :D

  • omg like sooooooo kool

  • damn man that was sick

  • cool!!!!! what is the name of the song?

  • some sort of umbrella by rihanna remix

  • WOW

  • "Umbrella" by Rihanna - Haji and Emmanuel club remix.

  • wow.. nice work

  • try some kind of forcefeedback in the cap!

  • Humm, good work, simple. It's confortable?

  • Well you loose some "mobility" of course ;), and you can't lay down on your coach, but it's light.

  • guys, its not that hard! your eyes are not "fixed" into your sockets. he is making a similar product that allready exists in the market place. you dont look 90 degrees left, or right (cause then you WONT be looking at the screen or monitor) this allows simulated head movement with only a few degrees of actual head movment. (maybe one inch at max from centerline)

go to the NATURALPOINT website for TRACK-IR videos of how head tracking works.

  • awsom effect.. lame music

  • Really cool!

    What Umbrella Remix is this???

  • I doesn't work does it?! When you turn in either direction, you're looking away from the screen, so you got to view the screen through the corner of your eye.

  • Shure, but as explained in the video comment, this was just a first test, to check that tracking works ok with Test Drive. The goal is to use it with my HMD.

  • Dude, if you had a pair of VR Goggles, that would be so bad-azz! I don't think the PS2 can show stereo vision, but at least you'd be able to look around well driving. There are several inexpensive, head-mounted, video systems you could use that would work for less then $300. So the lack of stereo vision could actually save you a fortune.

  • The video shows a beta test. This DIY unit is to be installed on the back of my DIY HMD for a good realistic use.(look at my other videos about my HMD ;)

  • cool

  • Lol, pretty cool, but not very practical.

  • If that aint the goofiest thing i've ever seen, However its a damn good thaught into it. If you could find a way to make it less sensitive that would probably make it that much better. Unless you think its not. It all depends on the person using I would think.

  • Idea is cool, but your eye must look at screen. It looks little uncomfortable.

  • only a true geek could figure that out bravo!

  • Yes sure, but this was beta test, before integrating it to my homemade HMD ;)

  • nice idea!!!!can u make a wheel that have originali a 320° turn into a 720 or 900° and that works on ps2:)nice job!

  • lol when you turn your head you cnat see he screen though
