I had frieghtliner run like that. I didnt know how powerful this truck was.Someone had this truck into shop and they tricked it out. Never found top end on it. Pull like nothing i ever had. 700 -800 horse power. Truck would rock to right like that but, i stayed off power because i didnt want drop drive shaft,blow motor.

@teeoneup81 western star are usually found in the same dealership as freightliner and sterling. and honestly besides that the make of a truck really doesnt matter much because there is not peter built drive line or engine or western star engine. mack is the only company that makes there entire drive line inhouse. i prefer freightliner with cat power. but you gotta have respect for the old V-8 500 mack magnum engine.

As a matter of fact its owned by Freightliner... so western star and freightliner suck while Paccar(Peterbilt, Kenworth) kick ass! there's no denying it and I don't know why 7 ppl that know nothing about trucks gave you thumbs up because your all wrong!

You can get most parts for your GMC at a chevy dealer if you just pick the same year truck....but you can't do that with your Kenworth at a Pete dealer for more than you think. Pete and KW's are not made on the same assembly line and do not even use the same engineering department. If anything, PACCAR is like GM was back in the 50's...each division did it's own thing under the management of the head honchos.

the only reason cat is discontinuing thier truck engins is because the highway division of engins only takes up 10% of cat and they dont feel like investing a bunch more money into the motors for the emissions esp. after 2010 bc they are going to get stricter, the rumer is that cat will start an off hiway line of truck (not the huge ones ) but allittle bigger than a reg. dump so they dont have to have the dpf and all the emissions stuff on em

dammm what the hell kind of engine does that pete had in it it was fast as hell loaded or what gear ratio he has in that thing? that grey truck had pulling gears so he didnt have the fast take off and he probably missed a gear .but once again no mater what country its in peterbilt stands out and i has to take my hat off to that driver in that pete he kicked his ass ...badly.!!!
