This game scares me and I have only seen this much of it. I've seen LP's of both amnesia and penumbra and was terrified. This has the same kind of horrible feel to it. And the worst part was, the longer you lingered in that room, the less I wanted you to continue. No, I would have epically failed at this game...
You should play games like "Eternal Darkness, Rule of Rose, or Call of Cthulhu-Dark" these are horror games with mine blowing stories, and there isn't much jump scares, These should be what your looking for.
Aw I really wanted to see you play Amnesia. This game is just boring in concern to the atmosphere. Just not as scary. The music isn't even un-nerving.
Anyway, I bet that the only purpose of that room was to provide the player with thhat thinguie and make the corpse disapear after they came down again.
BTW, there are not that kind of scary things neither in Amnesia nor Penumbra. They are completely different and more subtle.
You heard that the two penumbra gamesw (I refuse to call Requiem a game) are horrofying? Not only isn't that true, but the storyline is AMAZING! Specially in the transition between Overture and Black Plague, whrere a you have a lot of unanswered questions (which means more speculating intros to your videos). I almost had an orgasmic "Whoooa" at the ending when I realised the main character's decision.
It was really hard to hear you talking in this video, the game volume was kinda drowning out your voice. But you were entertaining as always, nonetheless. I don't really like playing this kind of game either.
@Equestrination I did a lot of squealing and covering my ears (while wearig headphones, which is never production). And considering I covered my face in parts, I knew I'd never be able to play Amnesia. xD

Its like a japanese anime puzzle game, with a very interesting story.
Play it on easy though, its pretty hard.

From what I know of Amnesia and this games is that they're heavily influenced by Lovecraft's stories.

Yep, atmospherically boring. They boosted the music presence too much to feel immersed.
