  • hey jetlag2222 its me again umm could you clean the cockpit or get a new one so you could put the pro in there and great view

  • this thing doesnt look fast with onboard view but the outward veiw its fast

  • nice flying. could you fit a go pro in the cockpit because that would be an awsome view

  • Thanks! Yes I wanted to put it in the cockpit and it would fit, but the plastic of the cockpit canopy blurs the picture so you can only see a few feet. So once you are in the air...everything is kind of blurry.

  • I have this Parkzone Corsair, it flies beautifully! The Whistling Death came from its superchargers howling as it flew by, usually destroying targets, which is why the Japanese called it such. I have a couple F4U documentaries on my channel if your interested.

  • Thanks for the info. I have had a couple of different larger F4U's in the past that were designed badly and flew horribly/unstable. It was a pleasure to find an F4U foamy that looks great and also flies very vell.

  • how fast does this go

  • I think about 35 or 40 mph tops. this isn't a speed plane. It's a replica WWII fighter so it's about looks, not speed. :)

  • Fun video. Even the little fella in the cockpit looks like he's having fun :)

  • lol

  • wow..first loop gave me some butterflies...nice vid lol

  • lol. Thanks!

  • Well ive flown and mastered a mcx, do you think I could fly the corsair as a fiirst plane now?

  • if you mean the mcx coax heli, then no that doesn't really help... you see planes are controlled quite differently than helis and they fly and glide different as well. I still suggest a sim to start with. It will save you tons of money in the long run.

  • Is it a good first plane?

  • It could be. Flies very easy. However, don't think you can fly it if you have never flown r/c before. The best way to get started is to buy realflight basic flight simulater and practice before you try on a real plane.

  • Is the PKZ Corsair different to the F4U corsair? Btw, nice flying!

  • pkz just stands for parkzone.. the guys that make it. This is an F4U Corsair model.

  • Nice GoPro HD flight. You did cut the two onboard flights well together! Music selection was also great. Seeing the Pilot was funny :-)

    Greetings,

    RCSchim

  • Thanks man. Yes, a lot of viewers didn't realize that I had to do 2 different flights with the camera mounted differently to get all the shots. nice catch. :)

  • I love the on board shots!

  • Thanks dude! The HD Hero is an awesome camera. It's light enough to ride on a small foamy plane and get those shots.

  • is it easier to fly planes or helicopters? I'm 10 and don't know which one to start with

  • Planes are actually easier to start with... but both are quite fun.

  • Ok thanks, what one do you recomend getting to start out with?

  • I recommend you start out with a flight simulater like RealFlight basic. This lets you fly many planes on your computer to get used to r/c flying and see if you like it without wrecking any planes.

  • Ok then, thanks for the help :)

  • fucking amazing video...great song...

what is the plane brand? its a parkzone?

  • Thanks man. The onboard video was all done with the new HD Hero. It does full 1080 HD video. The plane is the Parkzone F4U Corsair. It's just a foamy, but it actually looks very authentic for a foamy and flies smooth and easy. The one I got comes with a spektrum DX5e TX and is full 2.4ghz. Very nice plane!

  • got it...I love the parkzone planes....they have a great scale look...I'm thinking in get one...but the hobby shops owners here in Brazil says that parkzone is crap....if you fall just once....the plan is gone...so...maybe I will buy the eletronic from China and build a cesna to start...and later on....buy a scale one...probably the corsair or the mustang... cheers

  • That's funny that they say that. I have big expensive planes that cost thousands too, but I find that these little foamies are a blast because they don't cost very much, so you don't worry as much and just have fun flying them. This one is a perfect example. It's a blast to fly!

  • nice vid

  • Thanks dude

  • Hey nice video i want to get into planes i like rc racing and helis now and know how to fly a heli pretty decent but i want to have a go at planes do you really need a lot of room and is it best to start with a Simulator then a plane? and if that is right what is a good starter plane after the simulator

  • Thanks! Yes you need a lot of room to fly. And yes it is good to start with a sim first so you won't be as likely to wreck your new plane. Realflight is a great sim, so check it out. There are many trainer planes out there, so just see which one you like the looks of when you are ready. :)

  • Nice flying and filming. Weren't you afraid of dropping the camera without the case?

  • I was terrified of breaking it. Especially since I had just gotten the HD Hero. rofl. But this is a small foamy plane and the cam with the case was too heavy for it. So I had my choice of not filming, or taking a chance on my flying skills....

You can see which I chose. :)

I secured it to the plane with many rubber bands and also servo tape. So it wasn't coming off. Then I just had to fly without crashing and land relatively smooth.

It survived and the video was worth it. :))

  • amazing video !!

  • Thanks dude

  • Turned out really nice honey :)

  • Thanks baby

  • On that field in the background you have to drive the brushless revo on 6s! If you do that, I would be happy! =D

  • SWEEEEEET Dude, as always.

  • Thx man!

  • awesome jetlag! ur videos always kick ass! music always seems to go with the video, that made me think of the movie predator where theyre flyin into the jungle playing that song lol, wow, now i see how small that hd hero cam is, gonna have to get one, haha i was just flying the f4u corsair on my realflight g4.5 flight sim, anyway, awesome video! *****

  • weird! just now when i posted that comment i had to type in those verification letters, and the letters were jetlag, what an insane coincidence!!

  • That's totally messed up. lmao!

  • Thanks dude! It's funny, for some reason I just started hearing that song in my head while i was watching the onboard vid. So I put it in the soundtrack because it just seemed right for some reason. I didn't realize until later that it actually was from the helicopter ride in Preditor when they were flying. lol. Somehow my brain made the connection without me knowing it. rofl.

  • yeah hahah it went with it pretty good, idk what was up with those letters being jet lag, is that like a 1 in a million chance or what.

  • totally freaky. I think those letters are generated randomly, so it's probably even more than 1 in a million chance. You should have taken a screen cap. :)

  • should have

  • omg that lanscape is so nice

  • It looks like my own field! Apart from the tractor driver looks like he's gone a bit nuts and driven in circles, Luckily i don't do that and get a decent crop.

  • lol

  • It's not my field either. Fields like that in Indana are a dime a dozen. I just drove till I found one with no telephone poles on the road, and went flying. :)

  • Yeh, i'm lucky enough to have one of those fields right outside of my door and nobody can stop my flying there, Anyway, congratulations on another great video, keep up the good work and 5 stars as always!

  • lol

  • top of the range man!!

as ever,, sweet video,, hd cam realy looks cool, some great shots, very stable

    the plane looks great,, !!!

  • Thanks man! Yes the HD Hero is the coolest thing to come along in a while. It is killer for r/c videos because it's so small and light it can ride on a foamy yet takes incredibly good HD video and stills. I've been wanting to get video from my foamies for a long time... and now I can! it rocks. :))

  • Always enjoy the videos! Great to see you geting up in the air. This year has been a whirlwin for me in the realm of R/C's. This summer I started with brushed, went to brushless, then nitro, and now I'm flying heli's!

Next up, I'd really like to get a plane up in the air using my DX6i. :)

Thanks for sharing. It's always fun to see what adventures you have in store of us.

  • Wow! you really went thru the whole spectrum! And Heli's are a serious learning curve all by themselves! Planes are actually quite a bit easier to fly that Heli's I think. :)

  • another great video made by jetlag2222

  • Thanks dude!

  • arnt they the best i have on to

  • Yeah, they rock. Very easy and fun to fly!

  • Fantastic looking plane dude =).

  • Thanks man. Can you believe it's a foamy? They did a really nice paint job on this one to make it look more authentic. And it flies really great. I'm having a blast with it. It's kind of a slow flyer, but it looks really cool in the air.

  • I would be afraid of crashing it tho. Could take away lots of the beauty of the plane. = /

  • would you recomend this plane for beggeners? i can't spell today.

  • While this is a very smooth and easy flying plane, I would still recommend a trainer for your 1st plane. But my first plane was a P51 mustang (which can be quite hard to fly) so it's not impossible, as long as you are willing to pay to get it fixed when you crash. :)) A better way is to get realflight G4 or G5 and learn to fly on your computer 1st. It's an awesome flight sim and will let you learn without breaking your planes.

  • cool. i have looked at the flight simulator and i want to get it but i have a mac and the program will not work on macs. :(

  • the video is very good and i love the camera because it's very little ;)

  • Thanks. Yes the HD Hero camera is awesome. So tiny and light that I can mount it on foamy planes like the Corsair and the Stryker, but still full High Def. I love this little cam. It's the coolest thing ever for R/C videos.

  • Niiiiice....the Corsair,s my favorite warbird !

Is it possible to learn flying with a parkzone Corsair plane ? you mentioned it,s very stable...

  • Thanks, yes the PZ Corsair is a great stable easy flyer. And it is possible. However I would STRONGLY recommend that you use a "buddy" box with an experienced flyer to start with. Otherwise you will be fixing a broken plane soon. lol. Or if that isn't possible, get Realflight G4 or G5. It is an awesome flight simulator that has several Corsairs in it that you can fly and learn on without breaking the bank.

  • PS - The F4U Corsair is my favorite warbird too. They totally rock. :))

  • Unreal! That was fricking AWESOME! Perfect music!!!! Really cool looking back at the pilot. I think you need to find somewhere a little bit more wide open to fly though. lol Your fans are gonna flip when they see it.

  • Thank you, buddy! And yes that field was a little small. I felt cramped. rofl. I think it was at least 2000 acres.. maybe more. :)
