  • holy shit Adama looks different

  • castillo was my favorite character.

  • Name of the first sound???

  • Lt Castillo is a great and so charismatic actor!! and a very good person in the life.

    Thank you for your video!!!

  • I say the make a reboot of the Miami Vice Movie and get the Original actors to reprise their roles. Hollywood just pay them what ever they need, I guarantee you will make a profit and then some????

  • he was a bad ass even 20 years ago! hahaha go admiral adama.

  • it sounds like a synthesizer, Jan Hammer probably. he did a lot of very cool and unique music for this show. if Ed respects him, he (Jan) must be good.

"stoicism" and "Taciturn"? man, i have to look those words up in the ole websters collegiante dictionary.

stoicism: indifference to pleasure or pain.

    taciturn: reluctant to talk.

taciturn? yeah, thats me. i look at the walls or doorways or windows and make minimal eye contact. i've heard your small talk before, boring.

  • it sounds like a synthesizer, Jan Hammer probably. he did a lot of very cool and unique music for this show. if Ed respects him, he (Jan) must be good.

  • Whats this Music track called ? esp. the beginning part wih the flute?

  • @olcsylvia

Like theratfarmer said, this is Jan Hammer score from the tv show. The first part with the flutes sounds like the middle of 'Colombia'; the later part is 'Golden Triangle'.

  • one of a kind

  • Edward James Olmos' "Castillo" to me is one of the greatest characters in any TV-show. A true masterpiece in stoicism. He is something every leader should aspire to become: supreme authority without even having to raise a voice. Taciturn, intense and yet always in control. Impenetrable, demanding but deeply caring. The perfect enigma; the source of endless fascination. Watch and learn, squirts.

  • A most excellent compilation of Lt. Castillo clips. Really captures his essence. Excellent work. Castillo is a samurai and a real bad-ass.

  • Frakkin' opium addicts!

  • Castillo is the best character ever. the kind of guy i want as my boss. so calm and cool and in control everytime.

  • It's too bad these criminals won't live... but then, who does?

  • @YouFoolWarrenIsDead Oh yeah, word! XD

  • Real masterpiece, lad! Brilliant stuff, Castillo deserves a movie!

  • Hey, is that SLEDGEHAMMER at 2:01?

  • @zibbledy Yep. David "Sledge Hammer" Rasche, in the episode "Bushido!"

  • That was great!

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • Because it was 1 week away from being made into a Movie till the Studio shut it down,, I'll try and find that vietNip song that starts the beginin for ya

  • can you help me i want to know the title of the song start at 0:45 it's jan hammer but iwant the name thank you

  • It's called Russian Story and it doesn't start at the beginning of the track. Do you happen to know, which track would be the one at the beginning of the video? That's something I would like to know...

  • Is it illegal or ?? why don't people have this whole episode, I have it on VHS?

  • Definitely one of my favorite plotlines of the series. Castillo should have had more episodes. I bet they really only scratched the surface as far as his depth goes.

  • Def. one of the best shows EVER MADE,Castillo is my fav character ,him and of course Sonny, "listen pal" hehe good shit \m/

  • Castillo = Itto Ogami

  • Castillo was the coolest thing about Miami Vice. Charles Bronson and Caine from Kung Fu rolled into one.

  • i remember this ...it owned!

  • Those rare moments when Castillo got to kick some ass, were gems. He wasn't the "Charles Bronson, by way of Havana", for nothing!

  • I've rarely seen a character introduced in a cooler way. Castillo is one of those who'll be missed in the airwaves.

  • Very well done.

  • We need more police officers like Castillo. Most of them are either too arrogant or they are too "community friendly".

  • that was awesome, thanks

  • 1:13- is that Bam Margera's uncle Don Vito?!

Castillo always had such a fuckin stick up his ass. He thought he was so chingon. Be happy douche, youre in Miami.

  • thats cuz he was...u ass.

  • that was his character, silent and dangerous. Just watch this video and see how he can kick asses!

  • Hey tone it down Mister. He might be a little abrasive but Castillo is a damn good cop who gets the job done.

  • I just loved that series, but the coolest caracter were neither Crockett nor Tubbs

    it was definitely Castillo.

  • Castillo was a force to be reckoned with....

    silent...patient...laser focused....

oh yeah, he inspired the "Resevoir Dogs" look b4 it was cool...

  • Too bad this was never made. Olmos is an amazing, yet underrated actor.

  • I totally AGREE with LuvBigbutt. I couldn't understand why hllywood didn't have the original cast play in the movie, would have been way cooler.

    5stars Anas, this vid rocks!

  • maybe beacause making a movie in 2006 with C.Farrel and J.Foxx was more appropriate

  • Having the original cast in the 2006 movie would have been appropriate, but that just my opinion.

  • ...oh yeah with a 57 yr old Don Johnson which couldn't drive a Ferrari faster than 20mphs per hr! lol

  • I see your point, either way, if hollywood do a sequel from the resent miami vice movie I know I will go see it anyway, no need for me to deny it.

  • I think they could've at least given Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thompson a cameo in the movie.

  • TheknightRyder, AGREED.

  • Apparently Olmos was the only one they asked to be in the 2006 movie; Olmos as Castillo and Fox and Ferrel as new vicers. Since Olmos said no, they decided to just have Fox and Ferrel play Crockett and Tubbs. A shame, wouldve made more sense that way.

  • Dude, didn't know that, thanks for the info.

  • Eddy Olmos is the most underated actor of all time. I love the guy!

  • What is the name of the song at 1:40 ?

  • Adama...oops I man Lieutenant Castillo Rules!!

  • HOLY SHIT SLEDGE HAMMER AT 2:04!

    PS Castillo was awesome!

  • 0:56 she was hot

  • marty is the best in vice

  • Do not interdict Lou Li's opeum!!

  • gotta love paulie

  • This trailer would have led to an awesome '80s movie on the Castillo character.

  • Castillo is the MAN.

  • Whoa! What season is this from and what episode numbers?! MUST GET!

  • At 0:43 what song is that ?

It is also in " Bushido " Seson 2.

Do you have the song ?

Can you please send me the song?

  • I need that song too!!! which is the name of it? :( I have the soundtracks from the series and i dont have it...

  • Great trailer. Still my all time favorite show. This is the real Miami Vice. The movie sucked.

  • castillo... a ledgend!

  • Nobody could play that role like Edward James Olmos did. He's a fantastic actor.

  • il tenete castillo! il mio preferito!

  • I remember when he was up on the ceiling when I was a kid....He told a story in that episode, do you have that???

  • hi,

does anyone know what the music is at the start of the video - before 0:42?

    cheers,

    Lynd

  • Every once in a while a video comes along that captures brilliance...this one has. I suspect there are very few people today who know all the in depth plots of Castillo, but this has managed to cram most of them in. BUSHIDO FOREVER!

  • Castillo is solid.

  • Castillo rule´s !!! He´s my Hero !!!

  • Mitico Castillo !!

  • That was awesome. It's too bad the writers/producers lost their interest in the show. They could have done so much more with the talents of Edward James Olmos.

  • Nice job. Good use of Jan Hammer's music.

  • Outstanding. It would be really cool if a modern, nowadays movie could be setup somewhere along the lines of Heat or Collateral. That would be awesome.

  • Would have been one helluva film

  • Castillo is definitely Something!

  • Very good in this role.

  • This is excellent, thanks alot.

    Castillo rocks

  • this is awesome. i forgot how ill Castillo really was.

  • Great video. A good episode with Castillo playing a main part is "The Rising Sun Of Death" from season four. Castillo was one of the things that made the show so great if there were problems in between the vice squad.

  • Did Eddie olmos have acne when he was young? His face is quite scarred. When I saw BSG i thought it was just cuz he was old...

  • The pockmarking on his face is a common thing among Latinos. I forget what it's called, though.

  • nah, he had an Acne problem. I am Latin and my skin is as smooth as a babies :). It has nothing to do with ethnicity.

  • At 0:43 what song is that ?

It is also in " Bushido " Seson 2.

Do you have the song ?

Can you please send me the song?

This video is so cool !!!

  • The song is featured in 2 songs from Vice.

    1: Russian Story

    2: castillo

both form Jan Hammer of course

  • Where to you got the songs from, could you please send me ! Or can you please tel me where I can find the songs ? Thanks a lot!!

  • go on ares-galaxy com and download the newest version of ares

    install and click on search

there you just type in jan hammer and click on audio and on search

    badabing

  • I think the Castillo theme you hear around :42 - 1:29 is different than the version you'd get from the Jan Hammer Miami Vice album. What is played here in this trailer is different than the album version. It sounds like this was taken straight from an episode, not Hammer's CD.

  • THIS IS BADASS!

  • THANKS

  • That was awesome, Castillo was a complete bad ass.

  • DAAAAAAAAMN. Awesome

Castillo could KICK Dirty harry right in his ass.

  • Its a compilation of the ''Castillo'' episodes from Miami Vice.

    (Golden Triangle, Bushido)

Only 1 episode per season which is dedicated to Olmos.

    Bushido (s2) is the best.

  • The first flashbacks with the long hairtail where from that episode with the black guy killing hookers because one cut of his balls and now he got pissed and started killing hookers in nam and miami.

  • I like it, will be a tough movie, something like Dirty harry and charles bronson in Death wish. When is the movie coming out?? ;-))
