I work at napa and drive one of these everyday for work. and i can say there pretty terrible cars. at highway speeds they can be downright scary. but they do get you to your destination and back
The passenger airbag sensors go out, the thermostat plastic housing falls apart, the key will stick in the ignition. I had the car a month and found out that the car had the wrong alternator in it. GMAC admits to the problems but will not put out a recall. Before buying or if you are having problems, please check a site that I found. It may help. AllAuto.com
To Republic Comander - Just so you won't be eating your words and joining the haters heres a suggestion - replace that plastic thermostat part connecting the radiator to the engine. It will silently fall apart when you least expect it and the engine will burn out. Good Luck.
@RepublicCommander my Aveo has 60.000 kilometers on it, so far i didn't even change the tires, and mine is from 2006. In April, i'm geting Chevrolet Cruze.

The chevrolet Aveo is a better car that these Japanese garbages like the toyota and these Chinese cars like the Geely that they are of terrible quality and without guarantee ...........
hahahaha....u r defending an Aveo by talking about qualityyyyy....loooooooool....how stupid r u??? toyota has one of the best built quality in the world...and the materials used in such a budget car from toyota is waaaaaaaaaaay better than that aveo....moreover even the koreans are better...the kia have EIGHT....i really mean EIGHT years guarantee for the kia cee'd....wt u gonna say about tht?? this means that they have a really reliable cars....and they now it!
I said that Aveo, and probably most of the cars, cant go in reverse direction at that speed... I have one Aveo too, it is to high car to do this ;-) (I have mistakes probably, but you understand me)

I rented one recently for a road trip. Slow as hell, almost got ran down by semi-trucks, but it got us from point A to B, back to A.
