Thanks Lori,  We all have are skeletons. Abuse causes dysfunction. Abuse also can be a great lesson as to what we don't want to be as adults and parents. You are the parent you are because of your deep first hand knowledge of the pain and suffering that a abusive parent can cause in you. You are a blessing to your kids and now to the world. Tom

Large families, being poor these are stuggles for many in society but it does not excuse bad decisions or destructive acts by members.....true growing beyond that is a hard, hard struggle!!! You have much to be thankful for in overcoming these struggles of youth. Keep working and moving forward it is well worth it!!!! Keep the videos coming too as others need to hear that life is a struggle and others have been in the same struggles which they found the strength to overcome.

You know someone you have something in common with? That Runaway Bride Jennifer Wilbanks. She has (or had) lots of trouble with relationships and she also was arrested several times for shoplifting/stealing. There may be some comorbid types of issues with these problems you named.

Good for you getting yourself together. Wouldn't have guessed that you've had such a colorful past. Sounds like your career in the spa industry was much more interesting and fulfilling than a degree anyway.

Great for you, that you are seeking the Truth and going with forgiveness into all the junk in the past. There is a principle that we can only give what we have received... I'm curious if you have ever considered or even really know what Jesus did for you. It may sound nutz, but if you are cleansing your body and searching for what is TRUE, your spirit opens up and you will find that most of what we have been taught was wrong, mixed-up, totally untrue.
