@anarkhy666 really shows how much you know. Wp7 doesn't need a duel core processor because it runs so smooth on a single core. Look at all the reviews of wp7 and every one will tell you how smooth it is. An OS running that smooth competing with duel core processors is amazing. God bless :)
at 1:38 the blue loading bar of the iphone disappears so you assume that it finished loading, Guess what it did not it actually loaded the page at arround 1:56 mark the loading circle at the top left corner next to the wifi signal icon. The blue loading bar disappears when the page is cached, so you can pinch to zoom, navigate etc really fast before the page is ecen fully loaded.

@rabitman3000 speed does matter, or else you just have a crappy phone. even the first iphone was much better than this. and apple is alwyas improving their hardware at the same time supporting old models. samsung also is always developing top products. wp7 is a very limited os, has a snap interface with very basic apps, but cant support top hardware or offer good performance for a smartphone.
You can't compare phones by their cpu clock rate or numbers of cores. We have two different processors based on different architecture running different software.
@mijav2 sure you can compare the performance, even the first iphone can do much more than lumia, iphone4 is much superior and the iphone5 will be better.

Lumia has got smart browsing technology from the windows.

It's a weird comparison. The phones is in totally different price ranges with different processor speeds. If comparing the Lumnia to phones with comparable prices then I think it's a very attractive phone and I'm quite sure it will not be a failure. Windows phones will not take over the smartphone market but I do think that this year it will grasp a corner of it. Perhaps 8-10% of sold smartphones in Q4. Time will tell.
...No? I live in finland, and iphone is way expensive. It's smoothier too, and it wont brake if you drop it once. So that makes 3 reasons to get lumia over iphone :)

Lumia has hardware acceleration on the browser and the internet just feels more richer and smoother. plus I'm getting a full satnav, free music and full xbox and office integration out of the box. :D

The iphone 4s is connected to a 8 mbps wifi and the Nokia Lumia is connected to a 2 mbps wifi.
The speed of a phone can never be ascertained from its browsing capacity.
Check the processors speed by opening up multiple applications and check out the browsing speed by connecting to a same wifi network and test the respective speed for upload and download.
This is a smart way to market the iphone 4s. Lumia is 4 times faster than the iphone processors, despite low speed wifi it performs so well.

I have Lumia 800. Phone restarts sometimes when u end the call, camera also sucks, music output is ok but cannot be compared with iphone 4 and batter drains out fast. Good side, background colour can be customized, I like Zune, n Lumia is for sure sturdy.

These browser tests prove nothing, and screen rotation speed? come on... iOS is roughly 4 years ahead of Win7 in terms of updates and real-world experience. Lest we forget that when iOS version 1.x was released is was far from perfect. Early adopters paid upwards of $700-$800 for the original iphone (phone+carrier fees) just because it had an Apple logo on it.

I can say exactly the same about that. We can conclude that it depends for what browser is it optimized. But what is definately better about WP7 is that it uses the graphics chip a lot more, resulting in way better results. These tests obviously dont use the GPU, and therefor the iPhone 4S scores better because of the dual core processor. Funny enough WP7 runs a lot smoother with the single core CPU in combination with the GPU, because it's cleverly made.
@martijnroth WP7's browser is the worst compared to all of the other mobile browsers, especially when it comes to HTML5, head over to html5test[dot]com to see for yourselfs. And you say that the browser is better.

1. You went and did the test at html5test[dot]com and realized it scored a LOT lower then your iPod touch and you can't stand the shame of loosing this argument to me and denied the fact that iOS browser is better then WP7 mango's browser in the test.
2. You bought a china rip-offed iPod Touch (most probably)

It's a weird comparison. The phones is in totally different price ranges with different processor speeds. If comparing the Lumnia to phones with comparable prices then I think it's a very attractive phone and I'm quite sure it will not be a failure. Windows phones will not take over the smartphone market but I do think that this year it will grasp a corner of it. Perhaps 8-10% of sold smartphones in Q4. Time will tell.

;in terms of price, usability and intuitiveness the Lumia is the better phone. i have done the same test in store and Lumia loaded faster. Lumia has hardware acceleration on the browser and the internet just feels more richer and smoother. plus I'm getting a full satnav, free music and full xbox and office integration out of the box. :D

the iphone actually takes longer to load the pages, if you notice the status bar is still loading when safari says it's done. this is a trick that apple pulled on users.

I like both these phones.
Im getting my iPhone 4s next month but I must say the Nokia Lumia looks really nice; interface + design.
P.S. People who say the Lumia sucks are definetly Apple fanboys. Ive got like everything from Apple but I really hate these people who call Nokia bad.

I don't hate apple. I said almoust. They do everything always to be okay, but always with fucking big price. I mean like: Who the fuck is so stubid, that would buy iphone 4s with ios(=i've heard that's shit),that's gonna break if you drop it once, price is bigger, it's slower and anything, when we compare to sgs2. Lumia looks nice, but (im not sure about this one) it's slower than sgs2 or iphone, but it's cheaper too. So that makes me think the sgs2 is the best.

The iphone 4s is connected to a 8 mbps wifi and the Nokia Lumia is connected to a 2 mbps wifi.
The speed of a phone can never be ascertained from its browsing capacity.
Check the processors speed by opening up multiple applications and check out the browsing speed by connecting to a same wifi network and test the respective speed for upload and download.
This is a smart way to market the iphone 4s. Lumia is 4 times faster than the iphone processors, despite low speed wifi it performs so well.

I have Lumia 800. Phone restarts sometimes when u end the call, camera also sucks, music output is ok but cannot be compared with iphone 4 and batter drains out fast. Good side, background colour can be customized, I like Zune, n Lumia is for sure sturdy.

These browser tests prove nothing, and screen rotation speed? come on... iOS is roughly 4 years ahead of Win7 in terms of updates and real-world experience. Lest we forget that when iOS version 1.x was released is was far from perfect. Early adopters paid upwards of $700-$800 for the original iphone (phone+carrier fees) just because it had an Apple logo on it.

I can say exactly the same about that. We can conclude that it depends for what browser is it optimized. But what is definately better about WP7 is that it uses the graphics chip a lot more, resulting in way better results. These tests obviously dont use the GPU, and therefor the iPhone 4S scores better because of the dual core processor. Funny enough WP7 runs a lot smoother with the single core CPU in combination with the GPU, because it's cleverly made.

1. You went and did the test at html5test[dot]com and realized it scored a LOT lower then your iPod touch and you can't stand the shame of loosing this argument to me and denied the fact that iOS browser is better then WP7 mango's browser in the test.
2. You bought a china rip-offed iPod Touch (most probably)
