C'mon everybody can see that the creator created the hammer so humans can open the coconuts! You just don't have enough faith + you will go to hell for that comic strip. Jesus told me so.
Fruit-bearing plants often rely on animals to eat the fruits and scatter the seeds in their poo. Ready-made fertilizer, too! In order for this to work, the fruit must be appealing to the animal. There must be a good taste and a visual appeal, or a smell. It wouldn't do to scatter the seeds before they were mature, so a ripened fruit by necessity would have to be enticing and one not ready yet unenticing. This, if anything, strengthens the evidence for evolution.
Do you think Ray Comfort has ever realized the irony of trying to disprove evolution by showing the 'perfect correlation' between human anatomy and a fruit that we all typically associate with monkeys?
that banana they are using is a domesticated version of the wild one which is very different in appearance that banana is man made artificially selected for agriculture.

what these isiots don't realize, is that they're opening the banana upside. Humans are the only primates in the world who open the banana from the stem
Oh my god ! All this time while watching the video I thought the guy was joking and trying to take a piss out of creationists, but turns out he was being serious. LOL
Surely if the banana being convenient for humans is proof that God designed it specifcally for humans, then the fact that black people were good at picking cotton God specifically designed them for being enslaved by white people? Not the best analagy, but you get the point. Ray's logic can be applied to a multitude of things that go against what we know is morally right, or indeed Christians' so called "logic".
we looked at the banana, now lets look at the orange. it's skin is hard to peel off without destroying the insides. now you will see the it almost impossible to stick the entire orange in your mouth without splitting it into sections. thanks god for making those so convenient
LOL at Comfort not even doing enough research to realize humans made the banana before trying to debunk evolution. Just shows how these guys don't even research their own claims.
Humans didn't make the banana, they modified them. This video regarding the modified banana as evidence of God's design is a poor argument to be sure, but don't let that keep you from looking for strong arguments and evidences of the truth that everything was created by God. If all you do is present weak creationist arguments as proof that the Bible is wrong, you're not only judging creationism unscientifically, but you are making the same mistake the people in this video made.
@Jdog4Jesus There are no strong arguments, or any valid arguments for that matter, that a "god" created the earth. In fact...no one has ever provided any evidence of the supernatural existing in general so according to current natural understanding yahweh can not exist (not saying he couldn't exist outside of the laws of physics...but since there is no evidence that claim is bogus as well).
That's what try to do with creationism sometimes, to act as if it could be false, to see if I could find support for that. So far, I haven't found anything but I'm still trying.
@Jdog4Jesus You have been searching for a reason to not believe in creationism and haven't found one? I have a feeling you aren't trying at all then.
Look. For anything to be believed we have to have evidence to believe it right? There is no evidence for creationism. None. That alone is reason enough to shrug off creationism as another made up response to science.
Now. When you couple that with the fact that evolution is an observed fact and the theory of evolution is proven basically...
True, you can't know for sure if I am really trying, but using that as a reason to discount me is not science. What if I really am trying? Wouldn't you want to know, if perhaps there might be a reason to believe that you haven't found yet? Most of the world believes in things without having scientific support. I can tell you what is considered evidence for creationism, but unless your open minded about it, you might refute me because you don't want to believe it, it's a negative form of faith.
@Jdog4Jesus I can know for sure you aren't trying. Or you are doing it wrong or something.
Evolution is a fact. Creationism is a myth to try and support something that isn't real (god, hell, xtianity, ect.).
You can believe in myths all you want but when it comes down to it don't try to debate people on your myths being right because they aren't. They lack even the most basic level of evidence and are inconsistent with the principles of logic. You can choose to believe w/e you want though.
You might be right, but telling me creationism is a myth is not proof that it is. Logic can be represented in more ways than just the logic of science and mathematics, there is logic from an emotional, spiriitual, moral, cultural, sociological and psychological perspective as well, to name a few. Hypothetically, if God is real, and what the Bible says He has done is truthful, we would have to be arrogant to think that it's only really true if we can explain it in according to our understanding.
@Jdog4Jesus "I can tell you what is considered evidence for creationism, but unless your open minded about it, you might refute me because you don't want to believe it, it's a negative form of faith." Or perhaps you could keep your mind open enough to accept the possibility that science refutes creationism not because we dont want to believe but because we have already disproven its many claims time and time again. Is your mind open to that possibility?
Unfortunately approaching the research of the validity of the Biblical account of creation purely from the basis of the current accepted methods of science might make it impossible to find such validity, because current science operates from the paradigm of only natural explanations for nature itslef. If you want to find validity for the Biblical account of creation, operate from the paradigm that perhaps natural causes alone don't explain everything.
You might be right, but creationists would say there are no strong arguments for a natural explanation for the universe. A lot of people, many of them scientists, have found support for the Biblical account of creation in archeological and biological research. Each tries to present the most logical arguments they can and there are arguments on either side that are very compelling.
Humans didn't make the banana, they modified them. This video regarding the modified banana as evidence of God's design is a poor argument to be sure, but don't let that keep you from looking for strong arguments and evidences of the truth that everything was created by God.
