I'd like to know more about the attenuator that dkimcg nentions. I have this Amp, but just can't seem to get decent sound out of it. When playing it at low volume does not have much tone, and when playing it louder than low volume to get better tone have to crank way up. Sounds better loud, but still lacking something.
Get a attenuator and you can hear what the amp sounds like past 1 or 2. I have the same amp, added a THD HotPlate and now it feels almost like a different amp with the volume up past 5. :)
hey isonsov, i have a super 60, my clean channel with no play makes a hum, and the other channel the hum is more quiet. Do you have the same problem? The hum is not too high, only a diference to the channels, and when i turn the volume high the noise dont grow. Thanks.
Hey, I've got almost the same setup. You've even got the controls set up in a similar fashion :) Great amp, love it, and SGs are the coolest. I usually use the clean channel + a tubescreamer 808 clone.
Are you in the 25 or 100 watt setting?
