I'm not going to weigh in on the Dog vs. these guys debate. Everyone has a different approach to this. But if Dog and his family stand out because of their celebrity status, how long do you think this show will last before it becomes an autograph session with Ice T?

@Hakiblack it's a simple concept. let's say your bond is 10,000. typically you pay a bondsman between 10 and 12% of that total bond. he fronts the entire amount. you show up to court he get's the full amount back in addition to the 10-12% he charged so his profit comes in on that 10-12%. now the reason they come after you so hard if you skip out is because if you don't show up to court they are out of their money. and if you put up property you loose it. it's not tax payer dollars.

Dog drives me nuts- I really don't like the guy. If you've seen one episode, you've seen 'em all; learn about the bad guy, make a big stink that you're looking for him (a pretty good way to lose a guy in the wind btw), get pissed a lot and pull a bunch of drama crap with random citizens, goof off here and there, eventually catch the guy hiding out at grandma's house, show what a kind soul you are by giving them a cigarette and hauling them off to booking while giving him your best wishes. Right.

I agree with mondo. If I was a bounty hunter I'd dress like them too. Dog the bounty hunter stands out too much. The only thing I disagree with in this video is the firearms. Shouldn't carry guns on a bounty.

I like how they notified police they would be working the area. When I was a Private Investigator I ALWAYS notified the police and told them where I was.

@liondoghound some states don't let their hunters carry guns. we can in Georgia and I wouldn't do a skip trace with out it. If you don't mind my asking why do you feel fire arms shouldn't be carried on a bounty? they have guns. i'd never work in a state where i couldn't (but i spent years in law enforcement before i went private sector so i'm used to wearing something concealed even to go to walmart LOL)

What kind of insurance do bounty hunters need? You'd have to be crazy to carry a shotgun without insurance. If you shoot the wrong person, you could get sued up the wazoo.
