These comments are ignorant. Heavy steroid use can cause vitiligo. If you have vitiligo you skin starts to splotch (one of my relatives has the condition). The only way to deal with it is to either cover up the splotches with makeup for the rest of your life or have chemical treatment to even it out. Or both.
