  • SPLENDIDE

  • Ugh...okay, I love Nick's version, but...this one just tore my heart straight out and made me weep. Such a beautiful artist, such a tragic story...

  • @andpyramids also look for sandy denny's version

  • What a beautiful emotional song by a talented musician with an incredibly tragic life. All his songs seem to always get me in a particular mood.. quiet and thoughtful and still if that makes any sense.

Also, this has got to be the only YouTube video I've ever seen with 0 dislikes.

  • Man, This poor guy. I just don't know man, I might cry.

  • Nick Drake is a better artist. But this version is far superior

  • @thebigbarbosa1 I don't know how you can compare the two and equate one as being better than the other. They were both great artists.

  • @doughboycod2 They sure are, but like i said nick is the better artist.

  • @fleckpotte I lol'd.

  • *Attn* This is not a romantic song FFS........

  • @fleckpotte Man, I hate that film! Gallo does have a good taste in music though, and I do like some of his own stuff.

  • soy de cordoba thats my car, ese es mi auto! el kia pride pop.

bien ahi con la cancion, alguien de cordoba q esccuche buenos sonidos

  • Excellent stuff.

  • Thank you, Jackson C. Frank, for giving us all you could before you had to go.

  • wonderful mood your images and the music invoke.

  • My God, beautiful. Perfect.

  • Wonderful.

  • I think if this guy wasn't so shy he would've been famous.

  • soft and tender are her thighs

  • its hard to think, Davy Grham, turned up on his mates friends house and said "ima gonna take smack" and they said why? "because it sounds good"

    same as JCF!

  • gorgeous.

  • perfect song for a soundtrack like the brown bunny <3

  • No puedo parar de escuchar la canción, la descubrí ayer y es terminarse el vídeo y volver a ponerla, una y otra vez ^^. No sé qué tiene que me tiene así...

  • @fleckpotte Hey I REALLY want to see the movie how do I get a hold of it man?

  • great video

  • lol I read that when he recorded his first album with paul simon he was so nervous that they boxed him in with cardboard so no-one could see him

  • sehr schoene bilder, franks musik tapete; donde esta, el sud de la espana o en america? quiero rodar por ahi...

  • BEST SONG EVER. makes me cry

  • I learned to play the guitar by listening to this

guy's first lp, produced by Paul Simon. His songs are very special to me, I saw him perform live at Bunjees coffee house in Soho along with Rambling Jack Elliot. A magic night.

  • I heard Nick Drake's versions of Frank's songs before hearing Frank's, but I still like the orginals far better. It feels like Nick played around with the arrangements too much, whereas Frank kept it simple and perfect.

Still love Drake obviously, but his covers left something to be desired in most cases.

  • @linesinaconversation i think he played it so different because it would have been to obvious that he took this tune for his own song DAY IS DONE. Im pretty sure that he did so. The picking pattern is very similar and the chord progression too. So he had to mask the original ;-)

  • ...Wow. Somehow I had never noticed that before. That's probably true.

  • such a beautiful song, I have never understood why guys like Jackson C. Frank and Nick Drake were rather unsuccessful back then.

  • "Brown bunny" is such a beautiful love story, nicely complimented with the music - great work of gallo

  • One of my favourite songs.

  • hola. las fotos son de mendoza?

  • no, son en altas cumbres, cordoba

  • @entumonitor

De todos modos, mas grandes, maravillosos, silvestres paisajes que Europa

  • This song is written by Jack C. Frank .. What indeed a sad life to be lived for such a great artist!

  • @Syudu I don't know why you're being marked down, nick drake was clearly inspired by jackson.

  • i have no idea? i know nick drake covered this song, and i like both, i don't know what's so wrong about mentioning his name?

  • Wow.

    Beautiful music from this man.

    Just excellent.

  • beautiful *sniff*

  • wrote the book on what a singer-songwriter should be-rarely equalled, never topped

  • Who cares what it sounds like or doesn't sound like. It's still an amazing song. If none of the other songs or covers you mentioned had ever been made, this would still be just as beautiful a song

  • these instrumentals remind me so much of nick drake's! weird, but, beautiful, nonetheless.

  • Beautiful..i used to have the original album...some hippie bum stole it..if i ever see him him again he can forget about peace and love..man!

    Jim

  • So do I

  • Timeless and fabulous, like falling into the arms of a lover.

  • one of the best song ever recorded

    you people

    open your ears.

  • really set the bar high for singer-songwriters. paul simon produced jackson's only album in the UK between S + G's Wed Morn and Sounds of Silence. Think he picked up a thing or 3 from Mr. Frank? I do-

  • Great song no matter WHO sings it! I LOVE your video - it's a great compliment to the music.

    5+******** to YOU!

    cheers

  • bla bla bla...

  • You can't imagine how you're wrong ! By the way, I love Nick Drake.

  • Nick drake is a good guitarist and singer also, but i like this version of the song better.

Anyway, they have two different styles, and it isn't worth comparing them.

It's originally written by Jackson c. frank, isn't it?

  • Yes it is.. jackson is by far much better, more pure and true

  • Sandy Dennys cover is an excellent one too :)

  • well he is a good singer

  • such comments hold no merit enzaio.

  • Holy shit.. i know there are stupid people out there.. But you take the prize my friend ;)

  • Magnifique! merci Romain

    Be moving along

    I've got to leave her
