well, i must say i'm not using the appropiate technique that robbie kriegger uses. first, he never used picks while playing for the doors. spanish caravan should be played using a flamenco fingerpicking technique. i play it using a pick... and about chords, i have them in a book...

the thing is ive seen videos of robbie kriegger playing this song live... he used his nails dude, all of his fingers (right hand) had long nails, and he used to play every doors song using the same technique

Yeah, thats the traditional flamenco technique. He was a formally taught flamenco guitar player before he came to the Doors. But if you learn how to finger pick it, it would work the same way :-p
