im assuming this gsr engine is stock. a gsr inside an ek coupe @ 8 psi is definitely not slow or exremely fast, but it does make a good race against the lighter hatchback with a k20a2 engine. i think the cars are pretty even as far as power and weight. if the gsr engine with a turbo was in a hatch, the outcome would be different. remember that a stock k20a2 hatch could easily run high 12s all motor. a turbo gsr si coupe can only do that with a turbo unless you build the engine

no u dont, i originally had an aem stand alone but now im running a mugen type-r ecu. never used k-pro in my life and i have had my k series in an ek for like 4 years now.
nopeu are wrong. u can use the hybrid racing immobilizer bypass or a type r ecu kpro is very very recomended cause it bypasses the immobilizer and its an awesome ecu programmer.
also, 99-00 civics have the same headlights, and tail lights. its not only an SI. they come in 99-00 anyways, so they have the same exterior parts basically. just no lip for the other trims. im sure you know that by now though. but its easy to replicate one. mine is a silver EX. just saying...

you can have the same results as the frank swap you're talking about with just k24a2 from a TSX. its basically the same head as a k20a2, with stronger cams i believe. with a k20/24 frank, you would have to get different pistons so theres no contact. either TSX pistons, or aftermarket TSX pistons. but hopefully when you make your build, you can post videos. =)
which is wha the k24si has. TSX k24a2 with 6spd tranny making 217hp 182tq. of course he has the RBC intake manifold from the new SI too which kinda helps.

no u jus run the factory ECU, have u ever swaped an engine on ur own.. if u keep the stock ECU jus have to have a converter and wire dat bitch up, itll start and run...
no k is different.. a b series ecu such as p28 doesnt have an immobilizer.. the new ecu's have an immobilizer to prevent theft.. U can just install the ecu and expect the car to start.. U need to reflash the ecu and u need a key to do that.. only 3 ways 1. you send to hondata to get it reflash and they need all ur info and 2. you bring it to the dealer and they are goin to ask for the key and immobilizer.. 3. you buy a jdm itr k20a ecu since its jdm theres no immobilizer..

U feel constant power all over the throttle.. theres no sort of powerloss anywhere.. a stock k20a is 220hp while a built gsr barely reaches 220 to the wheel.. u think thas more reliable than a stock k20a? ur stupid.. just stick to old inventions.. I hear they have a d16y7 for sale.. why dont u grab those..

i strongly agree with raidacaipo i have a k20 a in2 my ek i paid 6gs for my motor and well spent i did 13 flat on it and im not an expert on shiftin sure i powered shift but i def feel the torque on my k series compare to my 2.0 ls/vtech k series all da way except the a3 160hp slow hit.................

actually...the K series motor uses almost the same valvetrain as the B16... look it up and youll see some similarities.

basically the k series is based on the H series that honda failed to make into a race engine.. well not really failed but all the flaws were corrected and so we have the K.

I think you need kpro with a k20a2 cuz it wont let you start the car unless you get an itr ecu instead..

no u jus run the factory ECU, have u ever swaped an engine on ur own.. if u keep the stock ECU jus have to have a converter and wire dat bitch up, itll start and run...

no k is different.. a b series ecu such as p28 doesnt have an immobilizer.. the new ecu's have an immobilizer to prevent theft.. U can just install the ecu and expect the car to start.. U need to reflash the ecu and u need a key to do that.. only 3 ways 1. you send to hondata to get it reflash and they need all ur info and 2. you bring it to the dealer and they are goin to ask for the key and immobilizer.. 3. you buy a jdm itr k20a ecu since its jdm theres no immobilizer..
