Charlies been doin this one forever ... its the way charlie does a live show .... ive seen him 20 + times and its never the same twice .... he has that cool calmness about him when he plays ... he just gets up there and does it ... and it is how it is ... and also could be that hes playin there in chicago .... not here at home
i'm also from texas, and i would judge this performance as perfect. absolutely perfect. what i wouldn't give to be back home in gruene hall, drinking beer, and watching charlie sing.
Charlie has the potential to become one of the great story tellers of this generation. But does anyone else feel like he's being lazy here? This is an extremely emotional and dramatic piece but it doesn't seem like he's even trying to put his heart into this live.
I dunno, maybe the rowdiness of the crowd makes it hard to do it.
I'm only being critical because I have big hopes for him to fill the gap in current generation storytelling.
God what a shitty recording and what a genius song. It's heartbreaking to hear such a poor recording.
