Actually not germans. That was mostly lithuanians. Germans just made the orders, that were executed with pleasure. In Latvia and Lithuania the percent of extermination of jews was the highest (95 and 90 %) among ALL the countries, participating in WWII. I'm not jew, and you can like or dislike certain race, but mass killing of innocent people just shows, how 'good' the so-called liberators are (not in liberating their countries). U dont need bravery to kill innocent.

Pretty city, in 1940, it was 45% Jewish. Almost 100,000 Jews lived in Vilnius and 240,000 total in Lithuania when the Nazis occupied the county in 1941. The Germans who filmed this lovely travelogue brutally murdered 90% of those people...my cousins.

And you should also note, that the majority of Soviet-occupied Lithuania's Jewish population succeeded in evacuating with the Red Army back to Moscow. 100,000s and even (Ajnigkeit newspaper) up to 2 million Jews from Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania succeeded in fleeing. But anti-secular Ultra-Orthodox Jews did not. They became innocent victims of pogroms indeed. But most were evacuated with Soviet GPU etc. in 1941!

Wilno is common - Polish/Lithuanian as common was our state. We can regret that Lituanian language was used by villagers but we cannot negate a fact that during times of Poland-Lithuania Commonwealth our nations realy ruled in Eastern Europe. Always when we were separately somebody ruled over us - mostly Empire of Russia/USSR.

Because they captured Vilnius in 1938. And began acting like jews who took all control under schools, theatres.. etc. all around polish language was spoken. And those bastards renamed Vilnius to "wilno". Until Lithuanian army kicked them back to theyr fucken polland. But some untermensch stayed there, now days some skinheads continues acting against this untermensch!!!! :D
