@killingspree Wow you're such a fucking idiot, I hate hipsters, but how can you call her a hipster for playing a harp? fucking idiots like you no doubt can't play an instrument, the only thing you know how to play is probably shitty xbox games. seriously, kill yourself.
Never cease to be astonished with this woman. She is an absolute one-of-a-kind artist, creating tapestries of wondrous sound and quizzical emotion - so modulated, detailed, subtle and unexpected that the musical trip you are taken on is one of pure magic, surprise and delight. Thank you, Joanna Newsom, for your singular and exquisite voice in the world of modern music.
Her unique style is incomparable. Do you remember the vocals of Phoebe Snow (Poetry Man). Somewhat like Phoebe Snow and Adele but yet a sound beautifully her own. Her orchestra coupled with her harp/piano and vocals are leaves one in awe of the genius and talent she is.
Talented with style and class, all of you dumb bitches that look up to the kardashians and shop at the stupid slutty whore store need to take notes from Miss Newsom on how to be a lady and earn respect.
It's a damned shame the world doesn't recognize true art like this as much as the 'music' about sex and money being produced on computers and dubbed over with an auto-tuned voice.
Words cannot describe how incredible this woman is. Actually, thats not true, MY words cannot describe how incredible she is. I'll leave it to someone else to explain the fascination I have with this woman. Love you girl!
@cadrifting As a big fan, I'm watching this, but the contrast between "milk-eyed mender" and her triple-record is as disastrous as "Sgt. Pepper" and "some paul mccartney record from 1994." Just contributing negative opinions.
@opinioninflicting (Continued from post 1) Sure it's different from "milk eyed mender" but that doesn't mean it isn't an incredible album. Thats like saying the Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel sucked because it wasn't a sculpture. Artists HAVE to evolve and explore different sounds, expecting them to give you the same sound for 8 years straight is like asking someone to stay in the cave after they've seen the tree. As an artist doing the same thing over and over would be artistic prison. My $0.02
@cadrifting Yeah but what artists do, is do something good and then suck...everybody sucks, by default. I don't expect her to "do the same thing" But nobody expects "The Who" or "Pink Floyd" to release a great record now...I felt "Milk-Eyed Mender" was as good as anything, so I try to get into this, but her run of genius ended at "Sawdust and Diamonds," which she reliably sobbed performing. Pro-tip: if you can't stop crying profusely perfoming the song, it's probably good.

@opinioninflicting OK so from what I read on Wikipedia Sgt. Pepper was the "good" album and "some paul mccartney record from 1994" is regarded as the bad album (yes I know its not an actual album.)
But I don't understand why you'd say "Have One On Me" is the equivalent of "some paul mccartney record from 1994." (continued...)
What?! why doesnt this have over 10mil views? oh thats right this is real music not that pop bullshit that mainstream puts out. Amazing this performance was.. ty for the upload
@DeathNationGaming Try to repect othe people music, and point of views I like joanna newsom is okay if you do not like and you like Justin Bieber or Britney is okay the same, Joanna may know this musis is not for everybody but who cares she express herself how she likes
@javits365 nah if you think Justin Bieber and Britney spears is actual music then dont watch or try and defend it. anyone can make a beat and sing over it with auto tune. this right here is the real deal
I like it too.

@cadrifting This is one of the best songs on that crappy record, btw. This is almost as good as her earlier stuff.
